If you are reading these reviews then you are thinking about sending your dog to Val and her team. Do it...send them to an amazing, caring, dedicated team! I felt bad for sending my dog to what I called, Boarding School, now I wish I had sent him sooner. Val and her team have given my dog and I the training, confidence, skill, and structure to communicate and work together. You can clearly see she loves each dog she works with and puts in the time it takes to reach success with each of them. But what Val and her team do goes beyond training. Echo has been home for almost a week, and our relationship is the strongest it has ever been. The bond, trust, and emotional stability that came with her training is priceless. Val will utilize and taylor her skills to what "your" dog needs and then some. She will take the time to train you and make sure you have the knowledge and tools to solidify the training when you get home. From my first phone call to our go home session, everything has been very professional and organized. I definitely recommend Imprinted Paws!

Valerie and her team at Imprinted Paws changed our lives. Before taking our black lab rescue, Bocker, for training, we weren’t sure if we would be able to continue having him. Bocker suffered from sever separation anxiety, resource guarding, mouthiness, reactivity to dogs and people, pulling on leash, and more. It was a frustrating experience for my wife and I, and that’s when we turned to IP for a one month board and train. To say Bocker came back a completely different, confident dog doesn’t do the work the team at IP did justice. He went from not being able to sit still to being able to do a place command for 5 hours straight, walk by our side on AND off the leash while listening to our commands, staying and relaxing in the crate when we leave the house without any issues, and relaxing throughout the day when we are home in his elevated training bed and dog bed. Another great part about the training was the communication once we left. My wife and I had many questions once we returned home, and Valerie was quick to respond with helpful tips and answers for us to implement right away. The e-collar is a game changer. It is essential for helping us communicate with the dog and helps keep us on the same page. One of the other best parts about boarding and training with IP is the boarding benefits afterwards. Boarding with IP offers serious peace of mind because you know your pet will be in a safe environment with other trained dogs (they only board dogs they have trained), but they continue to build on the training and good habits while they are there. Overall, we couldn’t be more grateful for Valerie and her team at IP, and we will be bringing Bocker back for continued training soon!!

I purposely waited a week before writing this review to make sure I got all the amazing changes Val has made and to put it short, Val has a gift and is incredible with what she does. Odie, my 8 month old golden retriever was amazing before but now…. Just sensational! He no longer nips when people pet him, he no longer table surfs in the kitchen when cooking, he no longer jumps when people greet him, he now can walk properly to my left with no tugging of the leash and even walks better with no leash, he roams around my front yard which has no fence to go potty and comes the moment I call him. He doesn’t get side tracked with rabbits, birds, leafs or CICADAS! When I open the front door and turn my back to lock it he will sit there and wait patiently until I am done. I am just blown away and my most favorite is Odie now has a “place”. He has 3 elevated dog beds scattered around the house where we hang out the most and 1 at work. He literally will not move off his place unless commanded to do so. This is a GAME changer because I bring Odie with me everyday to work and prior to Val when someone would walk in he would tug on his line begging to greet the person but now he literally just lays there waiting for the person to greet him. I am so grateful I was referred to see Val it has literally changed mine and my dogs life in such a good way; in fact we are shipping off Odies big brother for a month of training next Thursday! Also, for the record, I am 37 years old and this is the first review I have ever written….. that’s how impressed I am. Thank you, Val!
