In Home Dog Training

RD is a real life dog whisperer. I've had my fair share of mental breakdowns while trying to train my, now 6 month old, pitbull Labrador named Buffy. Long story short Buffy had a terrible start to life and I was worried I wouldn't be able to set her up for success with my lack of experience. She had no idea how strong her jaw was, and I had no idea what "bite inhibition" even meant. I wish the first interaction between Buffy and RD had been recorded because all it took was one session with RD and Buffy stopped biting altogether. It was absolutely amazing. Not only will RD travel to you, but she also opens up her home to multiple dogs at a time with the most affordable costs you'll find anywhere. There have been instances in which I couldn't afford a session (my wallet + two paychecks got stolen) - and she sent me videos/articles and just simple advice through text. She's absolutely amazing. I rave about her all the time to people and she's not only improved Buffy's attitude and confidence, but mine as well. Seriously, she's the best there is.

After one session with RD from In Home Dog Training we learned how to train our husky mix to walk with a loose leash. We are still working on her separation anxiety, and through working with RD our dog is no longer terrified of her crate. She even goes in there on her own now to hangout! While we are still working on some things (it's only been 2 sessions), I am 100% sure that using In Home Dog Training was the right choice for us. RD is super helpful, professional, and really cares about the pups she trains.

A friend recommended RD to me. Probably because I have two small dogs that totally lose their minds when guests come over. It was getting really embarrassing and I clearly needed help. Within minutes of her arrival, RD had my two nutty pups calm and quiet. She is amazing. RD is able to understand dog behavior better than any other trainers I’ve hired in the past. Not only did she help with doorbell freak outs, she taught me how to eliminate constant pulling during walks, proper behavior in dog parks, as well as how to feed two dogs without aggression. She also taught my young son how to calm our puppy. Her strategies have been so helpful and so important for our family. She is friendly, professional and super patient. She took lots of time answering my many, many questions. If you’ve got issues with your furry family member, I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her.

I have a nervous little terrier mix who developed dog reactivity. I spent 8 months and thousands of dollars I couldn't afford working with Sit Means Sit. I finally gave that up. We found RD and things have been so much better since. RD is very flexible, which I really appreciate. One of the first things she said to me was that everything she tells you is a suggestion. If something doesn't work for you or your dog, she's happy to think of another solution that will. That was night and day from my experience with Sit Means Sit. She's also just a really nice person. The best thing I ever did for my dog was have him spend a week training with RD. He was able to remember a time when dogs weren't so scary but lots of fun. That was a big turning point for us. It's still lots of hard work on our part but we're miles from where we were. We can say hello to some little dogs on the street now with total success.
