In Stride Pet Dog Training LLC

Amy is fan-freaking-tastic! We have two dogs, a little yappy princess dog who has been spoiled the entirety of her 4.5 years, and an excitable pea-brained big dog who was having some issues following commands. We've worked with her for about over year now, maybe 5 sessions or so, and every time our dogs get exponentially better, because she's able to explain how and why you should communicate with your dogs in specific ways! It turns out our pea-brain isn't as much of a dummy as we thought, it was our fault for not setting him up for success! She points out errors in training methods in a non-judgmental way that helps you to understand the dog's perspective and "explain" things to them in a way they will understand and succeed. We're moving out of state now, and we're so bummed we won't be able to meet with Amy anymore, she's been an absolute godsend after I got pregnant and our dogs turned into wild beasts for a bit, and she's excellent at helping us understand how to raise our dogs and child together. She is a self-described baby and dog addict, so I would definitely highly suggest her for help with baby and dog advice! Over all, she's an amazing trainer who we love to see every time she comes over, our dogs are madly in love with her and she's taught us how to train them effectively in a way that they'll be happier, healthier and calmer.

We've just completed two rounds of training with Amy (beginner & advanced) at Preppy Pet. We had such a positive experience. Amy is incredibly knowledgeable yet also approachable, engaging and fun! She works with you on various training exercises while explaining the background knowledge and reasoning behind various behaviors and techniques. She'll work with you and your dog on helpful skills and break them down at their level. Our rescue pup made lots of noticeable progress in just a short period of time. She also problem-solved with us for difficult scenarios outside of class (getting in the car, visitors at the house, door bell ringing, misc. fears, etc.). We looked forward to going to class each week! Thanks so much, Amy, for all you do!

Amy is highly recommend by our family! Our 2 year old dog was having a hard time with people coming into our home and we had no clue how to handle it properly. Amy had great tips to share with us on how to make him feel more safe and comfortable as people enter our home. He is even doing better with walks and improving his barking when feeling insecure. We have made great improvements with him and are so happy we found Amy! She is flexable and dependable with her time! She is so patient with Ranger and truely loves what she does!!!

Amy is a wonderful dog trainer! She has worked with our dog Sophie since January, and Sophie is now a completely different dog. When we first adopted her, she was scared of her own shadow. Her fur would stand up when passing people and other dogs on the street. She wouldn't look us in the eye. It is amazing to see Sophie now--staring at us in hopes for treats, and happily greeting people we pass on our walks. We highly recommend working with Amy!
