Amy has been working with my two dogs for a little over a month now. We contacted her because one of our dogs has really bad anxiety and was miserable walking on a leash. After only two sessions at our house with Amy, he is a different dog. We still have some work to do but she has been so helpful and really helped us change his demeanor. She is friendly and very flexible with her schedule. I can't wait to see what our dogs are like a year from now. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for some training for their dogs. She is amazing!!

With the help of In-Stride Dog Training and Amy Schuller, our dog is a "new man". Our chocolate lab, Bunker, was frisky and untrained when Amy started with us. From the very first lesson, we (humans and Bunker), have come away with some easy-to-use strategies. During each training session, Amy will help us to reinforce the previous training techniques and will help us with new ones. Amy is very knowledgable in her field and is patient and caring. She is always able to answer any questions we might have. We recommend her to everyone we meet!

My Wheaten Terrier puppy and I have been working with Amy since August of 2013. We met her at our local pet store in Puppy Kindergarten class and soon I knew that I would need her for one -on -one training with my puppy. My little guy just responded well to her. Amy is a wonderful and an amazing trainer. She has taught me and my dog how to work and learn from one another and also how to be patient when things take time. After each session, I always walk away with valuable lessons and great games to play with my young pup. Amy has been a life -saver for me, a first-time pet owner with a very fiesty and stubborn pup. I highly recommend her and I now know the value of having a good dog trainer. Don't just get anyone for your dog, get Amy!

(I am only allowed to give Amy 5 stars, but if there were more stars to be given, she would get those too.) We had our dog, Rupert (boxer/boston terrier mix; 20lbs, highly excitable), for about 3 years before we started working with Amy. He was a good dog, but had some bad habits we wanted to curb, especially as we introduced our daughter to the family. The first consultation with Amy said it all. She came to the door and into our home and Rupert, one to greet people by launching himself into them, started to do his thing. However, within minutes of being there, we found ourselves in our livingroom, talking with Amy as Rupert was lying down on the floor next to Amy. It was magic. She explained her philosophy, her training history and what she does and then at the end of that she acknowledged a calm Rupert, which he warmly received. As she was leaving she told my wife and I to think about training and to contact her if we were interested. She didn't want to pressure us into a decision right then, but after seeing her do in 5 minutes that we couldn't do in 3 years, we told her we would see her next week. For the next few months Amy trained Rupert and us (which was probably the biggest part of training), and show us how to work together. She taught us how to have him walk like a normal dog and not pull in front of us for 30 minutes. He got so good that we would walk through town and literally people were stopping us on the street to say what a good walker he was. We even had a guy shout from his apartment window to let us know he was doing a good job. It was amazing. Amy worked with us on playing too. This was a big thing for me. I told Amy, if nothing else, getting Rupert to play fetch was worth everything. He was never one to play fetch. Fetch consisted of me throwing something, him looking and then me going to pick it up. When I wanted to show Amy what he normally did, Amy threw a toy, on the first try he went and got it. "That isn't usually how this goes," I declared. Ever since then we have been playing fetch. I could go on and on about how amazing Amy was a trainer. How she would send us recommendations on toys or books that might help us. How she made herself available after hours to any questions we had. How she one time was confronted with a loose dog in our backyard during our training session with Rupert, used her long leash to corral the dog, calm him down and keep Rupert calm until we could find the owner. The list goes on and on. What I will end with is: she loves this work and you can tell. She has a bond with dogs, understands them, and nurtures them to achieve the best they can. Rupert absolutely loved the training. He looked forward to each and every training session we had. This was definitely the best experience we have had with Rupert. I cannot thank and recommend Amy enough.

I've been working with Amy for a few months now to help train my two 1 year old lab mixes and she has been so helpful with teaching me how to manage their behaviors. She is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of dog behavior, training, and care. Being able to have a dog trainer come to my house to tackle managing the behaviors in the home was such a nice option, as this is where most of the behaviors happen, so she can teach me in the moment on how to appropriately correct the behaviors. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for help with training their dogs!
