I highly recommend J. Wells Kennels. We began bringing our first dog here for private training sessions a few months ago. She was very reactive to people, making walks and visitors difficult. We had tried a few other methods of training, which were helpful in some ways, but we weren’t seeing any change in her reactivity. Within the first hour of our training session with Jordan there was a noticeable difference in her! Walks now are much easier and she’s listening better at home as well. More recently, we adopted my brother’s dog when he passed away from cancer. J. Wells Kennels has gone above and beyond with their support and care for us and our dogs during this time. Our new dog has proven to be even more challenging for us than our first, and they’ve worked with us each step of the way to make the transition as easy on us as possible. We are incredibly grateful for their support and expertise. It’s still a work in progress with both dogs, but we’ve made some great strides. Most importantly, my husband and I feel more confident in training and leading them. In our experience, everyone at J. Wells Kennels demonstrates a high level of professionalism, knowledge, and dedication. When we bring our dogs for training daycare or boarding, it feels like we’re leaving them with people who care about them as much as we do, and that means so much to us!

I’ve been working with Jordan and his team for a few months now to get my pointer ready for his first hunting season. Jordan and team have been phenomenal about helping me be able to read my dog, correct behaviors, and improve his obedience in and out of the field. On top of that, my dog has made so much progress in the field while having fun and learning to understand the birds. I can tell that the work we’ve been doing with Jordan and team has helped my dog become calmer, happier, more obedient, and stable. One of my favorite things has been that they’re really good at giving me things to work on at home in between lessons. They make sure to tell me what the next steps are, why, how to work on them, etc. This helps his training to continue to move forward between lessons. They set realistic goals while making sure not to introduce next steps until my dog shows us that he’s ready for the next step. I’d recommend J Wells to anyone that wants a happier and healthier dog and wants to be able to understand their dog!

Our American Brittanys have had a couple stays with Jordan, Jamie, and team, for boarding and training for puppy development, foundation, and fetch training using Jordan’s method. Just outstanding trainer and kennel operation. You won’t find a cleaner kennel. The trainers use innovative methods to enable owner/handlers to establish a working partnership with a dog that emphasizes handler leadership, obedience, canine decision making, and moving the dog along from problem solving to trust and obstacle mastery that serves as a foundation for working partnerships of all types, including core focus on upland bird dog field work with birds. Family-owned and operated with a kind, dedicated, and diligent training and kennel staff. Need more than five stars to describe the place and the people behind it.

Our Hound/Lab Mix Goose just got back from attending the 4-week obedience training program at J. Wells and the progress he has made is mind blowing! Before we brought him in my husband, and I were at a loss on how to move forward with Goose as his stubborn personality and lack of confidence in almost all scenarios caused us to have no control. We were feeling discouraged and had lost the ability to enjoy Goose as our family dog. When we came for our two-hour lesson, trainer Joe was extremely informative and patient with all of our concerns and questions. He made sure to explain everything he had worked with Goose on in detail and didn’t move on until we felt confident, and we understood. Him and Jamie were both so encouraging, kind and patient with us all – including our two kiddos that we brought along for the lesson. The second day having Goose home I was able to bring him on a walk without being dragged down the road. We stopped randomly to practice his sits and downs and even had him hold his place while he saw construction workers working 10 feet ahead of him – all of these scenarios were IMPOSSIBLE prior to his work with Joe and team at J wells. I was so impressed with how clean and well kept the kennel is. I cannot wait to continue down this path with Goose and possibly even bring him back for daycare and future boarding when we need it. Your dog will be in the absolute best of hands if you choose to send them here!

I would only go to Jordan for boarding and training! It is absolutely clean and the dogs are well cared for. It is so nice to have a place you can bring your furry friends to when you are gone and not have to worry about bit! I recently started puppy trading with my youngest and it is amazing how in 4 visits my puppy is listening, knowing to stay beside me and her behavior has completely changed. Cannot wait until we finish and see what a disciplined dog we have. Thank you to Jordan and Faith( who trains Peanut)! I would only recommend them for the training and boarding of dogs!
