Jackie's consistent and POSITIVE methods work! She truly loves dogs and it shows. She and her staff have helped us care for all of our pups through the years. I did a google search for dog trainers that use positive techniques and I was shocked to discover that there are only a few local trainers who don't use aversive methods. I had adopted a senior chihuahua, Miki, that I couldn't get a leash on. He was very skittish, didn't like being handled and would scream when I tried to put a collar or harness on him. He knew I would stop touching him if he made a big fuss. Jackie came to my house for private lessons. She is so patient and broke down training into small steps that I practiced with him for just a few minutes each day. She knows dog body language and knew to give him space if he needed it but also how to help him overcome his fears by using treats and lots of praise. After 4 weeks of weekly lessons and daily practice using various techniques, I was finally able to get the harness on him! I couldn't believe it! She was on vacation in Italy the first time I did it so I emailed her with the good news. She emailed me back right away to congratulate me. She was just as thrilled as I was at the accomplishment. Jackie has years of experience, knows how to break down each step to make it easy to practice with your dog and gave me the confidence I needed to reach my goal. If I was having trouble between lessons I could email her for advice so I wouldn't have to wait for the next lesson to continue making progress. I feel a stronger bond with Miki now. He trusts me more and is more accepting of other people. Working with Jackie has made me feel that I could accomplish anything I want with my dogs. I'm very grateful to her for that.

She continually seeks out educational opportunities and incorporates cutting edge training techniques supported by science and research. She is kind, caring and compassionate.
