Joyful Dog Training

I had the pleasure of adopting a puppy from the Humane Society of Dickson County, which was fostered by Joyful Dog training facility. The facility provided exceptional care and training, and my puppy arrived home crate trained and knowledgeable of basic commands such as sit and find it. I was thoroughly impressed and subsequently purchased additional training sessions to further support my puppy's development into a well-mannered dog. We loved training with Joyful Dog Training. You could see and feel the love they have for each dog and how passionate they are about what they do. Our pup had major insecurities and lacked confidence. They first helped build his confidence so that he could learn better. It amazed me how well they could read him! They also “trained us” to help continue on our journey of learning and behavior. Our pup fell in love with them and when we visit he gets beyond excited to see them!

I adopted 2 year old mixed breed “Bella” from the Humane Society in Dickson. Because of her background, Bella was so scared of new situations, any unusual noise, and strange environments. She was a good dog, but with Miranda’s help, Bella is now a great dog. She initially was afraid to go on a walk in the neighborhood, and would be so nervous that she would pull on the leash so hard that I couldn’t control the situation. We would try to play outside and she would run back to the door wanting to go back inside. She now knows basic commands, sleeps on her own bed (crate trained—but not needed at this point), walks on a leash beautifully, and has learned confidence. We are still working through a few skills, but my girl has turned from a skittish bundle of nerves into a most precious companion. Thank you, Miranda and Heather!
