If anyone is looking for a great dog trainer, I highly recommend Juan. He completely transformed my dog, Jimmy. Before training with Juan, Jimmy was difficult to handle — only my brother could take him for walks. We always had to make sure no one was around because he was reactive. After Juan’s training, everything changed. Now my mom and I can take Jimmy for walks every day. We go to the park, and sometimes I bring him to Starbucks or even take him with me to my mom’s work. Juan is not only skilled but also incredibly friendly and patient. When Jimmy stayed at his place, I would often send him lots of text messages with questions, and he always responded promptly and kindly. He took great care of Jimmy. Even after Jimmy came home, Juan visited us a week later to check in and see how Jimmy was doing. Juan is truly the best — his friendly nature, dedication, and professional training made a huge difference for our family and for Jimmy. I can’t recommend him enough!

My wife and I adopted Coco and Cookie, two 12-week old Cocker Spaniel puppies. Some dog experts say it’s too challenging to train two puppies. They tend to bond with each other and ignore everyone else. We called Juan, who agreed it was harder but was up for the challenge! Juan came to our house and worked with us and one pup at a time. From the very first session, the puppies started to respond to simple commands. Over the weeks, Juan taught us how to reward (or discourage) behaviors to where Coco and Cookie at 8 months will now follow commands and even “heel” on a walk. Juan was great all the way through and really customizes the training for each dog and owner. Juan successfully met the two puppy training challenge with Coco and Cookie!

It was truly a blessing to train with him. He was initially recommended to me by another dog owner I met in town. When I first reached out to Juan, he responded quickly and took the time to ask what I was specifically looking for in dog training. I own a Belgian Malinois, and from the start he was honest and upfront, explaining that achieving my goals would take time — which I fully expected, especially given the specific skills I requested, such as recall and outing on command. After just two weeks of training, I can confidently say that my dog’s behavior and overall control have improved exponentially. Juan was flexible with my schedule and was even willing to do extra training sessions on days when we were both available. It’s clear that Juan genuinely cares about dogs and about training handlers to build a stronger, more effective relationship with their dogs. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for knowledgeable, honest, and dedicated dog training.

We have a Belgian Malinois puppy, Vander, and knew from the start that we would have our work cut out for us. When he was 10 months old, we enrolled our not-so-little pup in JPK9’s Board and Train program. From the initial consultation and finalizing agreements to dropping Vander off, both Juan and Sarah made the entire process seamless and truly put our minds at ease. After just three weeks, Vander came home showing tremendous growth in his manners, focus, and overall behavior. Juan’s dedication and passion for his craft speak for themselves through the results we’ve seen.
