K9 College Dog Training, LLC

We adopted a Lab mix, and boy did we forget what having a puppy was like. Our previous dog was a different temperament and all our old training techniques weren't working on our new pup. After looking around, I found K9 College Dog Training, LLC. Clare contacted me quickly. Before I even signed up for classes, she began sharing tips for the issues we were having. Since then, I have signed up for multiple sessions and will probably continue. Her classes are definitely not like the generic ones I took with my previous dog. They are engaging and seem to allow the dog to have fun while learning obedience. The lessons change each week and new challenges are presented to keep the dogs engaged. Clare also has an amazing team that work with her. They work with each handler and dog as if they are the only ones in class. They tailor activities to the dog and handler verses just assuming a one box fits all style. Clare is a wealth of knowledge and genuinely just wants the best for the handlers and their dogs. I cannot recommend Clare and her team at K9 College Dog Training enough. I do not believe you will find better personalized attention in a class setting (and yes, she does do private sessions as well).

Clare is a fantastic trainer and I highly recommend her for anyone looking to improve their dog's behavior and education. I have participated in several of Clare's group classes as well as private lessons from the time my pup was four months old. In the group classes, Clare identifies individual issues for each owner/puppy to work on and offers suggestions throughout the course. Her assistants are excellent as well and offer additional support and advice to students during classes. Private lessons with Clare are incredible. My puppy's confidence and attention following his two private lessons is unbelievable. The individual time improved his focus on me and his ability to work around other dogs. Clare's teaching techniques and style are easy to follow and effective. The best part is that she prepares both me and my dog for different situations, so we are prepared for the unexpected rather than being stuck and not knowing how to handle it. She is particularly good with sensitive dogs and improving confidence.

Taking our puppy to the K9 college puppy class has been the best experience for us and for our puppy! Clare's techniques and strategies for training are positive and fun, for both the trainer and the puppy. At home, as we continue practicing the techniques Clare taught in class, we are so pleased with the results we are seeing! The growth in behavior that our little energetic rescue has accomplished in this class has been obvious to all who know her! She has learned to choose to focus on us (my husband and I share the training) over other distractions. Clare and her training team were always supportive, offering one on one help through encouragement, suggestion, and personalized tips that would directly help my pups needs and help our training skills improve as well. We will continue to train with Clare and highly recommend her K9 College.
