K9 Control Training

If I could leave more stars, I would! Our dog has been home for less than a week, and my mouth is still hanging on the floor. I never in my lifetime thought I would see my dog on a walk, with his tail in a calm position and his eyes glued to me the entire time. I can honestly say with the tools that we learned and the six week training my dog endured, I am excited to move forward and include my dog in our day-to-day lives. This was not even a thought in my head before bringing him to training. Hannah was so amazing and spent all the time we needed until we felt 100% confident on the day we picked up our dog. I cannot recommend K9 Control high enough. If you have a dog that you cannot trust and it is affecting your life, don’t think twice. Sign him up! We brought our 1.5-year-old border/aussie mix Abbey to K9 Control. She had some major fear/anxiety issues that we just couldn’t break. She feared everything: other dogs, people, children, loud cars… and was starting to react very timidly. It was so stressful to not trust how she would react to situations. After our consultation with Owen, we left understanding what to expect from the training, costs, timing. I picked Abbey up about a month ago and am so happy that the training has stuck. We now have the skills to bring her in to any situation and feel comfortable, and her confidence is growing every day. She can be off leash, is great around children, calms down quickly, loves place but most importantly is HAPPY! I also love that they have free group classes, it’s great to test them in a controlled environment. Thank you Owen, Joe, Danielle & everyone else, you literally changed our life for the better.

Just say yes to K9 control! Friendly, responsive, committed staff. They work together to help (train) you and your dog bridge the communication gap. Meet MaKai! Our boxer is the typical stubborn, goofy, playful sweet boy. He has always been a little anxious around new people and places. After his initial board and training period, we have been taking him back at least once a week. Hannah has helped him progress and is committed to helping him overcome his anxiety. I love that k9 control is committed and builds a relationship with your dog after the initial training sessions. I also love that they commit to training outside the enclosed training environment in real life situations. Makai loves Hannah and he is always excited to go back and visit for the day Hannah is very responsive and works with you to help you and your dog achieve success. Thank you to Hannah and everyone at K9 control for helping and continue helping Makai become the best version of himself that he can be!

K-9 has now trained both of our dogs and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. We originally brought our somewhat reactive 2-year-old dog to K-9 back in 2022 and the work they did with him was incredible. So when we got a new puppy last fall, it wasn't even a question that she would be trained at K-9. Their program gives us the knowledge we need to be proactive, responsible dog parents and gives our dogs the ability to follow commands that keep them safe and happy wherever we go, on and off-leash. And the bi-weekly group classes are the best continuing education to keep skills fresh! I would recommend K-9's program to any dog owner. Thank you to Joe, Hannah and the entire K-9 team!

WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!! Our only regret is we didn’t do it sooner!!!! K9 Control Training saved our relationship with our 1 year old Labrador Retriever. Before training, we thought there was no hope and there was no way we could keep our dog while about to welcome our first newborn baby. Our trainer, Ali, was amazing. She was so patient and thorough. She successfully trained our extremely energetic dog on every single issue we had. He is now so well behaved and we can trust him no matter what situation we are in. He no longer pulls when walking on leash, can walk off leash, and listens to every command (even with numerous distractions all around). It’s been several months since he completed training and he is more behaved than ever. He is so gentle and calm with our baby and they are already the best of friends. We are so grateful to Ali and K9 Control Training for their dedication and hard work, and would recommend them to anyone who is contemplating whether or not to train their dog!
