K9 Control Training

We were so nervous about bringing our dogs to a professional trainer. After two years of being embarrassed and anxious to have barking-in-public, destructive-at-home, straining-on-their-leash, jumping-on-grandma bully breed pups, my husband and I finally admitted that we were out of our depth. The immediate relief and safety of interacting with Owen and his team cannot be overstated. It is deeply apparent that they care about the experience of the dogs and understand the stresses we were having. While our dogs were with Hannah and Owen we received weekly updates with personalized report cards that reflected not just the progress they were making but an accurate review of our boys' temperaments and personalities that only come with true and loving attention. The hand-off training session when we brought them home alleviated every concern we had - no question was too dumb or too trivial. Hannah walked us through the hurdles of our boys' personalities and helped us restructure our relationship with our pups. We now have the life we always wanted to have with them - running 5ks, having cafe patio brunch, and visits from family without fear or embarrassment. It's the best investment we've made in our family and I wish we had found them years ago. These are the right people to trust with your family.

I made an appointment here for a dog that I am fostering from a local shelter that I plan on adopting in a couple months. I brought him cause I just wanted him to have some basic obedience and I had noticed he was showing signs of separation anxiety. So I drive to the facility and fill out some paperwork and meet the trainer immediately the guy comes out and puts a martingale around his neck which he never adjusted once! And walked him around for a bit and would give him corrections and understandably my dog would attempt to snap/bite. Because he was choking him while giving him corrections. So he sat down with me and then proceeded to try and pet him and of course my dog did not trust and want to be around this trainer at this point so i took my dog and had him sit by me. He proceeded to tell me he has a lot of fear( which was correct) but he also told me that my dog was unpredictable and he would not train him. Not only that he told me that if he were me he would not even adopt this dog. I literally went home very upset thinking and taking his words to heart that I may need to euthanize him because of this session. Since then I have taken him a plenty of parks and walking trails and he has done fine he loves meeting new people. He loves going to petsmart and petco to gets treats and pets from absolute strangers. He gets so excited whenever he sees our neighbors and has never shown aggression towards any of them especially the men. It seems to me that he has not worked with many bully breeds. Again proceeded to tell me that because my dog was 5 and a bully breed that “ he would be too stubborn to train anyway” then proceeded to tell me my dog was a liability after he has had no history of being aggressive or even biting anyone If you need basic obedience or some training for a dog or puppy that does not have major behavior issues then I recommend

I brought my two dogs here, and I've had amazing results. My German Shepherd is older, about six years old, and my Blue Heeler is around 3 years old. They were becoming very reactive and hard for me to control, and I needed a hand in helping them and myself to be the best we could be. It's been quite a few months since I put my dogs through training with k9 control, and I'm still amazed by the positive changes I've seen. I've had several people come up to me and ask me how in the world I have such a calm heeler, or gsd, and how they wish their dogs were so relaxed. I always refer them to k9 control, and tell them that my pups weren't always so chill. The biggest help I got from Hannah and Owen at k9 control was teaching me how to change my relationship with my dogs. Don't get me wrong, they put in work training my pups and it still shows. However, they helped me truly understand what I needed to do to have an awesome relationship with my doggos. I could go on and on about how thrilled I am with this training facility, but I'll leave it at this because I don't really like writing reviews; I would recommend anyone to k9 control, they've literally changed my relationship with my dogs and we now have so much more confidence in each other.
