K9 Control Training

Cedar is our 2 year old Vizsla. We thought she was obedient bc she never ran off, never tore things up in the house, and never went to the bathroom in the house. But turns out she just personally didn't want to do those things. She was not actually obedient. We moved about year ago to a house on a corner lot with tons of people walking by with pets. Cedar started barking at pets walking by. She even ran into the road barking at someone. We tried doing training on our own but couldn't get her over some of her reactive behaviors. We also realized she wasn't actually that obedient - meaning she often only did what asked because she wanted to. So things like staying in a place long term - like say an hour - was never happening. K9 control took her and it was like a reset! We have had her home 1 week. She responds to her commands beautifully, the biggest help being a long-term "place." (even when the doorbell rings - even for over an hour) She has only barked once all week! and we knew exactly what to do and she stopped immediately. We are so happy! It's also so nice to be able to contact them with any questions and look forward to the included group classes!

Around July 23/2024 I decided to enroll Daisy Mae in the 6 week training program. The reason she was enrolled was due to anxiety and we were having trouble with commands. And while she was enrolled I got weekly updates and each week I saw her progress continue to grow. At her 4 weeks check up I got to see the progress in person and was very happy to say the least! When pick up day came I was given a detailed lecture on how to use the commands and the E-collar. And they made sure I was completely comfortable with using the commands and the E-collar before I walked out the door. What especially drawn me to K9 Control training was the fact that we have monthly meet ups and if I have any questions or concerns to call or email them. I am beyond thankful for their help with training Daisy Mae and teaching me how to have full control over my pup!! They are a 10/10 and I would recommend them to any and everyone!!!!!!!

I can't say enough wonderful things about K9 Control! Owen and his team were fantastic to work with and my pup LOVED them! Athos was already well enough trained on the basics but will be a working dog. I needed someone to perfect his abilities and teach us (by us, i mean more so the human in this dynamic) more advanced behaviors. Owen and his team delivered. Not only did they train my pup, but they got to know him and would gush and tell me about how he was doing with regular check ins. They seemed to really enjoy working with him and that made this dog mom extrememly happy to know they were enjoying and investing in my dogs well-being and success, as I was. Athos is a friendly dog, but he is stubborn and intelligent. The amount of respect and bonding I saw between Athos and Owen was very telling of the type human Owen is. In the sessions i joined, Owen and Hannah corrected me firmly but gently, on where I was falling short as a handler and as someone that will have a working dog, I appreciated that open honesty and feedback. I trust my dog's judgment, and he loved everyone over at K9 Control. Worth every bit of the investment!

K9 Control was GREAT in getting our two Great Dane puppies trained and socialized. I was fearful of getting two robot Great Danes back from training but, that is not the case. Both still maintain their personalities while being obedient. K9 Control is very responsive to phone call questions and have made "home visits" to promote continual dog compliance with that which was trained. They also have offered group sessions to further monitor our dogs progress. Everyone on K9's staff have been exceptional. Highly recommend K9 Control for your dogs training.
