K9 Guide Dog Training

If you are looking for people who love your dog like you do, these are your trainers! Kobe spent 4 weeks at board and train and even though we missed him terribly, he came back calmer and confident in what he learned. Yana, Collin, and Jimmie get to know your pup and work to bring out the best in them. We got updates and pictures throughout the training and really liked the follow up home training sessions once Kobe came home. It was probably harder to train us than it was Kobe! The Alumni Classes are great for refreshing and extending the training- and Kobe LOVES to see his trainers at the events. I recommend K9 Guide Dog Training without reservation.

Our dogs (1 year goldendoodle and 1 year shepherd/husky) were good dogs, but extremely overwhelming in our small house with 2 kids. We got sick of the chaos, the yelling, etc. We wanted to enjoy our beloved dogs instead of yelling at them all the time! So we saved up and got them both the 4 week board and train package. We live paycheck to paycheck, so it was a huge financial commitment and let me tell you: it changed our lives (both for humans and doggos!) and was worth every single penny. I would have been afraid of using ecollars before working with K9Guide. I find it is far less "cruel" than tugging or jerking on a leash, which I see untrained people do all the time, clearly stressing the dog, sometimes to the point of coughing/choking. I now find it bizarre that people don't seem to blink at that but are concerned about appropriate use/training with an ecollar, which is far more gentle and less stressful for the dog. Once they were appropriately trained, my dogs were so much happier and confident (the husky had been a reactive, scared little dude before). Now we barely have to use the ecollars, they are so well mannered and happy. I trust no one with my dog more than the folks at k9 guide and they have improved my life and my dogs' lives 1000 fold. ABSOLUTELY choose these folks over any chain training services. K9 Guide is full of good people who are very knowledgeable about what they do, and they actually care about your doggo. I am just a customer; I don't know them outside of having worked with them and I was in no way benefitted from this review. I just really believe in their work. Bonus: while it wasn't our goal, our goldendoodle became so well trained that she actually performs in local theatre shows now (Toto in WIZARD OF OZ most recently!)

I can not share enough great things about K9 Guide. I am a helicopter mom by nature and am VERY hesitant to trust others with my dog. However, I knew very quickly that I could trust everyone here. I left Levi with them for a board and train program to address his heel. It had been 3 years of me working with him and we just couldn't get it 100% down. K9 Guide was able to help us. Levi came home with a heel that was massively improved! They gave me the tools and education I needed to continue this progress at home as well. They even proofed him on distractions, worked on his down stays etc. Collin and Jimmie are both great trainers. Levi gets so excited when we go to our 1 on 1 lessons and get to see them. Yana was great at responding every time I'd text to check on him during his stay as well. I highly recommend these guys!

K9 Guide Dog Training has been life changing for our Mack, and the rest of our family! Mack is family and Yana, Collin and Jimmie have been nothing short of AMAZING from our first in-home session. Yana is extremely responsive to calls and texts with questions, and we couldn't be happier with how Mack is progressing after his two week board and train. They are all very knowledgeable, kind, and love our pup like we do and WANT to see us all succeed.
