Carole Wilson has taught me all the tools needed to be able to walk my current dog reactive 42 lb. foster dog. She came to my house multiple times to reinforce basic commands along with improving walks with an initially strong dog pulling to a much easier loose leash dog during walks. We also can pass other dogs now in a reasonable fashion. I initially met Carole teaching at another rescue where she was teaching basics and understanding dog behavior. She keeps adding to my dog behavior education which is essential since I’m fostering now. I truly cannot say enough good things about Carole with her quiet manner and patience as a trainer.

As a volunteer at All4Paws Animal Rescue, I have been working with Matt in group training with other volunteers. Matt is extremely knowledgeable about various dog behaviors that can occur as a result of being in a stressful shelter setting. By implementing his training techniques, I’ve witnessed firsthand how they’ve changed the behavior of these animals. He is very professional, reliable, patient and easy to work with. I would highly recommend K9 Learning Academy to anyone looking for a competent dog trainer.

I don’t personally have a dog but I work at an animal shelter where Matt comes weekly to help us train the dogs for adoption. We have many dogs with different personalities and challenges. It ranges from puppies to biting the leash as you walk them because they think it’s a game, to dog aggression and even a dog being totally deaf to name a few. Matt has helped the staff and volunteers how to deal and train regarding with some of these issues. Matt is not only great at hands on training he is very informative about how to mentally stimulate your dogs, to the healthiest foods you should be feeding them. I would definitely recommend K9 learning academy to help any issues you may be having with your canine. You owe it to them and yourself!

Hello, this is Koda! He is a 105lb success story for K9 Learning Academy! Koda was super aggressive towards dogs on all of our walks. He was pulling me down and I was very nervous every time we encountered another dog. I had 2 neighbors that just raved about K9 Learning Academy. I reached out for an evaluation and it was very clear that Matthew Dellaira was much more of a behaviorist vs. a dog trainer. He was spot on when he said these training sessions are going to be more for me than Koda. He said that my fear and body language flowed right down the lease into Koda's need to protect me, hence him being aggressive towards any dog we passed. After our first session, I had the tools and commands, I needed to practice between our sessions. Now I just needed to get the courage to follow through and be a pack leader. Every walk was an improvement in my confidence and in Koda's behavior. By session 4, we were able to walk side by side with another dog. By session 5, we were able to meet and greet a neighbor dog that was always a huge fear for me on every walk. I feel so blessed that my relationship with my Koda has been forever changed by K9 Learning Academy. Now we enjoy walking at festivals and going to the dog park. Before meeting Matthew, I would have never dreamed I could be comfortable and relaxed with a leash in my hand.
