We adopted our dog Goldie in late August of last year. We thought we were doing well because we had dogs from puppies all our lives. This time was different though. Everything was backwards for her. Everything we did seemed to stress her out more. Then early this summer we had some unbelievable thunderstorms back to back and it left all of Goldie’s nerves frayed. My instinct was to give her more time and attention but that only made things worse. After researching what I could do for her, I reached out to Robyn. She was patient with me and listened. Her suggestions were spot on. My husband and I both agreed to just give her space, almost to the point of ignoring her. And it’s working. She is looking more comfortable now and alert.
