K9 Mama Behavioral Specialist

A little background: At my old apartment a few years ago, my lab was attacked by 4 smaller dogs that were aggressive and not put on leashes. Before then, my lab was very cowardice to other dogs. After that incident, he became fear aggressive towards all other dogs (female or male). Fast forward to June, my boyfriend and I moved in together. I have 2 male 6 year old dogs and he has 1 male 5 year old dog. My lab is fear aggressive and his dog is toy aggressive. Within the first month, my lab already went after his dog, his dog already went after my other dog and all 3 have gotten in fights. My lab and his dog couldn’t even walk past each other without my lab growling. I’ve tried everything to work on my dogs fear aggression but it was getting worse to where I could no longer control it. My last resort was hiring a behavioral training. I WISH I would’ve done this sooner because since our last session, we have had ZERO negative interactions between all of our dogs and they are now able to coexist (with continued training and work of course)! Even though us dog parents like to think we know our dogs, K9 mama helped us understand dogs as a whole and showed us how to manage them in a different perspective. This training was the absolute best experience we’ve had working with a trainer. Not only was she able to help us work through some of the problem behaviors we’ve experienced with our puppies but she also taught us how to read the signs before they even occur. The guidance and reassurance are next level and within only a few short weeks we’ve made HUGE steps to having well rounded and well behaved puppies. I can not express how helpful and knowledgeable she is with dogs of all breeds and how she made it fun and simple for us to implement direction and guidance into their daily lives. 10/10 cannot recommend enough! She’s amazing and our puppies loved her!

UPDATE: It’s been a few months since we had Robyn over to help train us on how to be better owners to 2 of our girls who were getting into pretty serious fights. I wanted to update this review because we could not be happier with the results so far! We only bought her bronze package for the one time in home evaluation and workshop and it was worth every penny! Since implementing Robyn’s training techniques our house has been a much more stable environment and the girls are happier than ever. I know repairing their relationship isn’t a linear journey, and they may never get back to coexisting peacefully 100% of the time because of the fights they got into before, but we will keep taking it one day at a time with consistency, patience, and Robyn’s training techniques. Even though we only bought her 1 time session I’ve reached out to her a few times since then to give updates on their progress and ask a question or two and Robyn has not only responded each time, but she has been so supportive and encouraging in her responses! Her passion for educating owners is rooted in compassion and care for the dogs first and that was apparent to me from the first time I talked to her. It’s so hard to find an effective trainer that doesn’t use forceful or aggressive techniques, but I’m thrilled we found Robyn and that we’ve been able to get this far already with no more fights by implementing her techniques. Robyn seriously changed our lives for the better and we are forever grateful for her training and tips! If we ever need more behavioral guidance with future pets Robyn will be the first person I call :) ORIGINAL REVIEW: Robyn is amazing! I’m so glad we decided to hire her to help with our 3 girls. We have been struggling with behavioral issues between 2 of them (aggression, fights, etc.) over the years, and Robyn gave us a ton of invaluable insight into their behavior and what we can do to actively help them improve their relationship. Our house already feels less tense than before she came over and I’m super optimistic about our future with the girls now.
