K9 Reset

We sent our 16 month old pup Lucky to Rich through a friend recommendation and would highly recommend. Rich is extremely, knowledgeable, attentive and always checks in, follows up and I never felt like I’m troubling or bothering him if I have questions. It was harder on us the owners to break the bad habits we created for our dog but she’s doing great on walks and with obedience and I know how to effectively use both collars that I was so reluctant to use prior to meeting Rich. Our hound Bruno stayed with Rich for a week-long board and train. We rescued Bruno about a year ago, and after 10 months of leash reactivity and a high fear response to new stimuli, we decided to give more intensive training a try. Rich did a great job getting Bruno to understand he does not need to be in charge, and we have been following through on the training a a couple months now. We still have a ways to go with welcoming new people into the home, but that will come with more effort and practice our end. Rich sent videos and provided updates on Bruno’s progress doing his stay. We have since used Rich for boarding for a weekend trip, which was great for a quick refresher for Bruno. He has been available to answer questions and frequently checks in to see how Bruno is doing. Rich will give you and the dog the tools to succeed long term, but you have to put the work in to follow through in the home.

I recently had an incredible experience with my dog, Shadow, who I’ve had for a total of six months now. After a one-week boarding and training stay, it’s been three weeks since I picked him up, and I’m so impressed with the changes! Shadow no longer suffers from separation anxiety; he used to hyperventilate and sweat in his crate, but now he’s calm and comfortable being alone. Rich, our trainer, worked wonders in helping Shadow understand that we will always come back. It’s such a relief for both me and my family to see him so relaxed. I honestly didn’t think this transformation was possible, but it truly was! I highly recommend K9 Reset and Rich’s services!

One year ago, my husband and I rescued two full grown female pitbulls that were abandoned together, tied to a fence. They didn’t know any commands and had never been on a leash before us. Even As experienced dog owners, we struggled in every walk with them. Through social media, we found Rich at K9 Reset. We did two classes as a group and immediately saw results with their leash skills. One of our dogs required a little more in depth training so we opted for the week course where she went to stay with Rich. She came back a very disciplined and well behaved dog. She was so well trained that the dog we didn’t send to the week course seemed to learn from the one we did. We kept on the strict discipline for 60 or so days based on Rich’s guidance and it truly made a difference long term. It has been a year and both dogs are amazing on leash for walks and can't be bothered with distractions. They are often barked at, but maintain their focus and ignore it. Today, and for the first time, we let them off leash on a trail near our home and they walked beside us the entire time and followed every command. We couldn’t be more satisfied with Rich and the training he did with our pups. Even after a year, he will always answer us with any follow up questions we have. I do want to mention, training isn’t a magic fix. You will need to put in the work too and you can’t go back to the “status quo” with your pup. Rich will give you the guidance and the tools you need to keep the momentum and training going. We can’t thank Rich enough for how much he helped us and our girls!
