We are a recent new puppy family. Having never had a puppy before we were overwhelmed and after seeing Pawsitive and Dan highly recommended on Facebook we decided to reach out. Within the first visit we had already see a great improvement in Ace’s behavior as we were given excellent tips on crate and obedience training. The following two sessions were just as informative and continued to build upon what Dan had begun showing us. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend Dan.

Dan was incredible. He listened to our concerns with our dog and really taught us as owners how to correctly communicate with our pup! Dan allowed and trusted us to continue the work each week to be ready for our next session and we really feel like we already have a completely different dog who is learning correct manners when greeting people, learning space claiming areas in our home, how to properly walk on his leash but all stemming from our knowledge of how to communicate with our dog. Dan has been an incredible teacher and our dog really took to him, his energy and his approach. We hope to work with Dan again in the future on furthering our dogs learnings (and ours) and we’d highly recommend Dan! Thank you Dan for providing us the right tools to teach our dog the behaviors we want, to be able to trust him again, and release our anxiety.

Dan and Heather were amazing with our 3 1/2 year old handsome boy, Kota. We had serious issues walking him. He's a strong 80 pound dog that pulled like crazy and reacted to every dog and person we passed. We were on edge every time we tried to walk our neighborhood and often would only take him at night when no one else was around. A previous trainer at a different facility even told us, "some dogs just aren't meant to go on walks," which was disheartening to hear and almost made us give up. At PRT, in three weeks as part of the 365 program, Kota was able to learn how to properly walk on a leash with no pulling. He still sometimes reacts to people and dogs, but now we know how to correct or even prevent this, and Kota responds so well. He has gotten so much better and it was incredible and exciting to watch! His overall behavior has significantly improved as well. Dan and Heather taught us how allowing certain behaviors in the home translated to a reactive and uncontrollable walk with Kota. They also trained us and Kota on how to properly welcome guests to our home, another stressful activity we experienced with him. We were shocked at how well Kota responded to this training. Improving his behavior in the home has been extremely rewarding. Kota has improved so much with the 365 program, but he still has a long way to go. With the tools and training we received, we feel well prepared to continue Kota on this path. We are not only excited to have less stressful walks with him, but also finally have the opportunity to take Kota on adventures outside the home so he can have a more fulfilling life.
