We are so grateful to Dan and Heather for their work with our family and our Great Dane, Bogey. Dan is a true professional who graciously listened to our concerns to understand our greatest challenges and stressors with Bogey. Dan and Heather addressed and corrected several undesirable behavioral issues with Bogey and provided us with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to be strong dog leaders as we continue working with him in our home. We have worked with PRT for in-home training and the 365 program and have also sent Bogey to dog BNB and playgroup at the impeccably clean, interactive, and safe facility Dan has created. We highly recommend Dan and his amazing staff to any dog owner looking for a community of professionals who are genuinely invested in the success of the owner/dog relationship.

Our girl Phoebe just turned a year old. What we initially chalked up to "normal" puppy ... well ... wasn't. She was highly reactive to other dogs – think screaming, not barking. It was fear, not aggression, but her stress was off the charts. Phoebe couldn’t fully enjoy or experience the outdoor world, because if we ran into another dog, all bets were off. We simply didn’t have the tools to get her back down. We tried in-home training, but it just wasn’t enough. We needed more intensive, serious support. Thankfully, we found Dan Lee and Pawsitive Reinforcement. Phoebe entered Dan’s 365 program and lived and trained with him for six weeks. The two individuals who really needed to be trained – Phoebe's humans – were also there every week, working with Dan and Phoebe. Now Phoebe sticks right by our sides on a walk on a loose leash. More – in what frankly is a miracle to us – she can walk right by a dog and remain calm. She kept every bit of her joie de vivre. I do not have the words to express our gratitude.

We are so happy we went to Dan at Pawsitive Reinforcement Training. We decided to take our 1 year old lab for work on general manners and walking. Dan genuinely listened to what our concerns were and helped us understand how to issue corrections when rewards no longer work. I also think it's important to mention that Dan never made us feel bad or inadequate as pet owners. He always made it a point to acknowledge what we did well with our dog. He is very approachable and knowledgeable and we always felt like we can talk to him about anything. We signed up for the four session 1-on-1 training program and the difference week to week was incredible. Before working with Dan, I wasn't able to take my dog out in public without him pulling, barking at other dogs, and sniffing everything. Now he walks amazingly. Dan helped us take control of the walk. I can take him in public and he walks well on a loose leash. We have learned amazing tips on how to deal with distractions and just managing him overall. We still have our lovable, goofy dog; just with a lot more manners and better behavior. Thank you, Dan!

Dan and his team are GREAT, knowledgeable, patient, compassionate, and each a true animal lover! We were always leaving our 1 yo home because his excitement meant he didn’t have the manners to be in public spaces; or he would relentlessly try to play with other dogs, not taking cues that dog may not be interested. Now our pup walks really well on a leash – no choking due to pulling or lunging; no crossing back and forth; no ruling the walk with his nose the whole time. He’s more docile when visitors arrive, and respects their space. We continue to build our confidence practicing in public spaces, and our pup is a superstar every time! Although we initially enrolled in the 3 wk program, as we neared the end we consulted with Dan and mutually agreed we needed a little more time. We extended to the 5 wk program, which was absolutely the right choice for our situation. The program has bettered life for each of us - we can spend more time with our dog, we know he’s being stimulated and exposed to all kinds of sights, sounds, and smells; and he’s so much happier because he has a bigger life than he did just a month ago. Pawsitive Reinforcement Training is 10/10 – would totally recommend!

Dan is an amazing dog (and dog parent) trainer! My boyfriend and I recently moved in together, and we each have a dog with their own issues. We were struggling to figure out the best way to help them learn to live together. Dan was able to assess both of their needs, come up with reasonable solutions, and clearly explain and teach us how to correct bad behaviors and introduce new routines. He took the time to explain the reasons why certain behaviors needed to be fixed, and also was able to gauge how receptive each of us would be to aspects of the training, and how to frame it both of us in a way we would each understand and appreciate. He has given us a variety of tools and resources to help us be successful long after our training sessions ended. I can’t express how talented and approachable Dan is. Every time we met with him, starting with the initial evaluation, we were impressed and in awe of his knowledge and insight regarding dog behavior and modification. We highly recommend him to all of our friends and will be reaching out if/when new needs arise.
