FirstBarkMy fur baby and I both enjoyed our classes - Puppy Class, & Basic Obedience. He (we) learned so much and we are looking forward to continuing training in Intermediate Class with Shannon. Great program. I would recommend to anyone interested in having a happy, well trained baby.

Do you have drop off obedience training available? Or board and train? When do you like to start that training? I have a 10 week old Rott that I would like to have trained (I'm getting to old to do it myself)
Thank you for reaching out. We have Boarding School, which is when you drop off your dog for several days to be professionally trained by us. We have Private Classes which is a 1:1 lesson with one of our certified trainers. Last, we have group Obedience Classes which is a group class with 10 dogs and their owners. Yes we do. We do behavior modification of dogs that are aggressive towards people or dogs, and we also train dogs for personal protection purposes.

do you train service dogs?
Hello. We train all aspects of dog behaviors leading into the service industry. As dogs have to be great citizens and have stellar obedience before qualifying. The very specific areas of Service Dog training vary so much, that we must first talk and ensure you indeed require a service dog do to a function for you, and not a therapy dog to provide therapy to others or even a companion dog. Do you do either pp or schutzhund training?

We did a basic obedience course with K-9 with our two toy aussies. When we had to be gone for ten days without a babysitter, we decided to board them In boot camp for some extended training. Shannon is a dog whisperer. She has a way about her that is firm yet compassionate. She really ants her trainees to succeed. Our issues were barking without being able to get them to stop, not listening to commands such as sit, stay, down. Really the basics but hard s we tried we couldn’t get it done with them. Shannon got all of that done. We are amazed with our new dogs. Day one we had a person come to the door and I to the house. We are okay with a warning bark But the first time we said quiet……they stopped barking. Truly amazing. Please take your fur babies to Shannon and let her help. The entire staff at K-9 are experienced and friendly and love their guest dogs! Thank you Shannon and K-9!!!! C Valentine and Gracie send their love….woof woof!
Our German Shepherd spent a week at K9 University’s training and boarding facility and she has done so well with training since she came back home. We were extremely impressed with how well behaved she was after 7 days of training. Highly recommend our trainer, Shannon. She’s the best! She was awesome with our fur baby and we knew that our Kodi girl was in great hands!

The reply K9 U gave to my prior review was both false and misleading. Rather than accept responsibility for making false and misleading statements during our initial conversations, staff chose to double down. 1) Shannon did not offer additional free training sessions or private training sessions. She offered one free session. 2) Winston’s reactive behaviors did not “regress.” They were never addressed. In fact, he was still reactive when I picked him up and on the car ride home. I alerted Shannon to that and she offered one free session. 3) I did tell Shannon that I was unavailable for private lessons. My father had recently passed away and I was very busy. That’s when she told me that the board and train program would work to address Winston’s reactive behaviors. It’s now obvious that the only goal Shannon and K9 U had was a sale and getting over $800. Winston’s reactive behaviors were not addressed. 4) Winston did well in Home Depot in a controlled environment. Winston was never in an uncontrolled environment with distractions. I don’t understand why Shannon and K9 U can’t say “we failed this time around” and be done with it rather than replying with false statements. It’s very disheartening at the least but not surprising at this juncture.
