Do you have drop off obedience training available? Or board and train? When do you like to start that training? I have a 10 week old Rott that I would like to have trained (I'm getting to old to do it myself)
Thank you for reaching out. We have Boarding School, which is when you drop off your dog for several days to be professionally trained by us. We have Private Classes which is a 1:1 lesson with one of our certified trainers. Last, we have group Obedience Classes which is a group class with 10 dogs and their owners. We meet once a week for 4-5 weeks.
All are very effective.

Hello. We train all aspects of dog behaviors leading into the service industry. As dogs have to be great citizens and have stellar obedience before qualifying. The very specific areas of Service Dog training vary so much, that we must first talk and ensure you indeed require a service dog do to a function for you, and not a therapy dog to provide therapy to others or even a companion dog. My dog, Winston, is reactive. I spoke with Shannon at length about this and explained that working on that was my number one goal for him while he participated in the one week board and train. While I wasn’t expecting a miracle, I did at least expect some small behavioral changes as a foundation I could continue working on with Winston. It seems the majority of his training was focused on basic commands which Winston already knew. I didn’t see any changes in Winston’s reactive behavior at all. Again, I realize modifying behavior takes time but in this instance, I feel that this was a complete waste of money and Winston’s training results reflect extreme exaggerations in K9 U’s sales pitch. For basic obedience/commands, I think K9 U is great. But for behavioral modifications, I wouldn’t recommend K9 U at all.

I can’t say enough about K9 University and Shannon. We had adopted a rescue dog that was a Pyrenees mix and about a year old. After he became comfortable with us, a few behavior issues came up and I feared that he would bite my son or other children. As a last resort to try to avoid having to return him to the shelter, the staff encouraged me to bring him in for a consult. Shannon evaluated him and was able to see through his behaviors and was confident we could work through the issues to have a positive outcome. Shannon’s enthusiasm, confidence, and ability to break down the steps we needed to do to control the triggers that cause the behaviors was such a relief for me that we didn’t have to return him to the shelter. We have been able to see immediate results and look forward to continuing our training with K9 University to allow our dog to be the happiest and bestest dog possible!

Shannon did so good teaching the basic obedience class, I couldn't recommend K9 university more! It's easily apparent how much they love dogs and care about their well being here, and I can't wait to put my pup through the intermediate class!

We are so grateful we took our dog here. It has been the most incredible experience. Our Cane Corso did a two week stay and came back a completely different dog. Shannon went above and beyond and worked so hard and it shows in our dog. Before we couldn’t even take her on a leash or have people over and now she goes everywhere with us and is very friendly and most of all very obedient. Shannon spent an hour with me at pick up to show me everything our dog learned so I could take it home with me and keep her training going.
