Thank you for reaching out, although we make ourselves easily accessible to reach out to us personally with any concerns, It would have allowed me the opportunity to clarify this distinction before just placing a review on our business that isn't factual. <br>I want to clarify some important information to you, as it appears this situation is being associated with the current ownership and training team at Karma K9 when it should not be. I will also add this type of accusation that you're making is considered libel and your actions are considered harassment. Both of which you can be held criminally responsible for. Ryann is not employed by Karma K9, nor has she ever worked under Melissa or I. You have never been a client of Karma-K9, and therfore you cannot speak of any personal experience with us. <br>Because neither Melissa nor I employed, supervised, or managed Ryann, we cannot speak to the specific circumstances surrounding the incidents you are claiming. However, we would never handle any situation with any dog in that manner, or employ anyone handling a dog in that manner. All of our clients and dogs are family to us. The safety and appropriate handling of every dog in our care is something we take very seriously. We absolutely welcome feedback regarding actual experiences with our current staff and operations, but I also want to make sure concerns are not presented as though they reflect our team or practices falsely. UPDATED RESPONSE:<br>Thank you for your updated feedback. We do want to clarify an important point regarding the “lifetime guarantee” referenced in this review.<br>That guarantee was offered under Karma K9’s previous ownership and was not a policy created or implemented by the current owners. When ownership changed, we evaluated the policies and promises previously associated with the business, and a “lifetime guarantee” was not something we could responsibly continue to offer.<br>Dog training simply cannot be guaranteed for a lifetime. Training requires consistency, reinforcement, structure, and continued participation from the owner, particularly when a dog experiences major environmental or lifestyle changes. Moving from a house to an apartment, relocating to another state, encountering unfamiliar wildlife, and being exposed to entirely new surroundings can understandably create new challenges or regression. No trainer can ethically guarantee that a dog’s behavior will remain unchanged for life regardless of those circumstances or the amount of reinforcement provided after training.<br>While Melissa did work with Karma K9 under the previous ownership and initially attempted to provide guidance, the current business cannot remain indefinitely responsible for services or guarantees promised by a previous owner. We do offer continued training support, but those are professional services provided at our current rates.<br>We understand that you are disappointed that the previous owner’s lifetime promise is no longer being honored. However, we believe it is more transparent and responsible to be clear about what professional dog training can realistically accomplish rather than continue making a promise that no training facility can reasonably guarantee for the lifetime of a dog.<br>We are glad Mavis has been able to receive additional support in Colorado and wish you and your girls the very best in your new environment.
