Kat the Dog Lady

I cannot say enough good things about Kat. From our very first lesson through to our attendance of group lessons after we finished our training package, she has provided me and my sassy Shiba Inu with easy-to-follow and never-failing guidance that has completely changed our day-to-day routine and empowered us to be able to be confident in all sorts of different environments. Kat has been able to address every concern and fear of mine and has been able to fill in gaps in our training that I didn’t notice myself. 11/10. Will not be taking my dog(s) anywhere else in Vegas.

Kat is hands down the best. I went to her because my dog was ver reactive - it was so bad I was afraid to have him around people and couldn’t even have family or friends over at my house. After working with her we’ve been able to introduce my pup to new people and have family stay with us without any problems. Kat not only helped train my dog but she trained me on how to be a leader with my pup so that I have the skills confidence when she’s not around. Kat is super passionate about helping people have better lives with their pets- she’s a great dog trainer but she’s also an all around wonderful human to work with and be around.

Kat The Dog Lady is an incredible dog trainer! We are so lucky to have worked with her and her five lesson program to lay the training foundations for our 11 month old rescue! Kat’s individualized training style and friendly, communicative demeanor is so appreciated! She takes the time to learn each dog’s situation, household, routine and what your expectations are as dog parents looking into training. She is then able to personalize and make sure that a plan in place for both you and your dog that makes sense! We truly can’t say enough good things about Kat! We adopted a 1.5 year old German Shepard from the shelter so we were unsure of his past. Duke showed reactivity towards other dogs and humans. we felt overwhelmed and weren’t sure how to help him overcome that. From our first phone call Kat really took the time to understand what our concerns were with Duke and made us feel seen, heard, and supported. After meeting Duke and coming to the conclusion that his reactivity was more so fear based and possibly stemmed from not being properly socialized as a puppy she didn’t just throw a one-size-fits-all approach at us. Kat again took the time to understand our dog’s specific triggers and emotional state and tailored each session to fit our needs. She explained to us what to do, and how to handle situations while also making sure we understood why these tools and actions mattered. She showed us how to work with him in a way that didn’t feel forceful or scary. It was all about building our trust in him as well as dukes trust in us and helping us all to feel more confident. Now that our sessions are over just knowing that if we have any questions or concerns or new issues that arise we can reach back out to Kat and she will be there to help us is a huge relief! Overall, Kat has been an amazing addition to Dukes journey and I'm so thankful we worked with her!
