Adam is the best dog trainer I have ever worked with. I have a dog that suffered severe separation anxiety and nothing was working. The problems were so bad I felt had no choice but to re-home the dog. Adam came to the rescue and spent 7 weeks working with the dog and keeping me updated on what was happening. When the dog came home, he doesn't even seem like the same dog. If you have a dog that needs training, Adam is your guy, I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs a dog trainer.

TLDR; Adam is the best dog trainer out there. Whatever you need your k9 to do, if it is physically possible Adam can make it work. In 2021 after suffering a debilitating injury I made the somewhat rash decision to get an Akita puppy (to help navigate my post injury life) after never once in my life owning a dog. Within a couple days I was overwhelmed and at my wits end. Enter Adam Katz. Adam broke down the fundamental principles of dog psychology and training in a way that was understandable to me. I like to think of it as Adam trains YOU to train your dog. The lessons he leaves you with are applicable to every situation, and he gives you all the tools to train your dog into a perfect k9 companion. I want to emphasize that akitas are notoriously aggressive and protective. With Adam's training, he is the best behaved dog I have ever seen, though I am biased :) I am able to take him in any venue or event and he is docile, obedient, and focused on me. He is great with kids of all ages, and non reactive towards other dogs and animals. As a matter of fact, Im writing this from a crowded café with my 100lb akita underneath my table quietly where he has been sitting for the past 2 hours. Im certain most of the people in this establishment are unaware that my dog is even here because of how calm and quiet he is. I am able to take my dog on 6+ hour flights with no problem. My dog is trained both on leash and off leash. Adam lent me numerous gear (leashes, collars, training treats, cages, e-collars), and when I have to travel on a short notice Adam did an incredible job boarding my pup. Although Adam's social media shows a lot of dogs being trained to do protection and bite work, this man can train you and your k9 to fulfill whatever need you are looking for; protection, companionship, service animal needs, breeding etc. Cannot Recommend Enough!! Literally the best. P.S. i see there is an "Adam G. Katz", also a dog trainer and author of a book. While I have no knowledge or experience with this individual, some of his reviews are less than ideal. Adam Katz, the owner of Katz K9 is an unrelated individual, who is incredible at his craft. Please do not confuse the two

A few months ago I was on the verge of rehoming my German Shepherd rescue, Elvis. He'd gotten too big and reactive to be able to safely take on walks or have people over to my house. I was heartbroken, exhausted, defeated, and at my wits end. I brought Elvis home today after a 5 week board and train with Adam. I was able to take Elvis on a long, leisurely walk that didn't end in me being dragged through the streets. We were able to walk by other people without crossing the street, and I was even able to let him off leash in an open field with much better recall. After that my family was able to eat dinner without worrying about food being snatched. Elvis sat calmly and quietly on his bed until I released him from that position. I'm looking forward to being able to have friends over to my house again and being able to take Elvis to public places without having to worry about him being reactive or out of control. Adam was very communicative and informative. I got lots of updates and insights on Elvis while he was in his care. And it's nice knowing we have 3 more training sessions we can utilize for any fine tuning we might need to do now that Elvis is home. Very happy. Highly recommend.

Eri is a Dutch/Mal with a lot of energy! She is the smartest pup I have ever owned. I knew that having an experienced trainer was a must before I even picked her up. Adam has helped me understand how dogs think, how to encourage positive behaviors and discourage negative ones without damaging the relationship between me and her. Seeing my progress as well as hers improve with every session is incredible! I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to keep Eri, but every ounce of that doubt has been removed, and I have no one but Adam to thank for that!

Adam’s dog training services are absolutely exceptional. Focusing not only on obedience but also on building our dog's (and our own) confidence. The positive reinforcement techniques used were effective, fostering a secure and self-assured demeanor in our dog Rolo. Not only does Adam give you tools for success, but he breaks down the whole foundation of canine behavior. I have been around dogs my whole life and now have gained an even deeper understanding of the relationships between canine and humans. Highly recommend this training for anyone seeking to boost their dog's confidence while strengthening the bond between owner and pet.
