Kirubell is an outstanding canine trainer (and behavior specialist) that I would recommend to any dog owner, especially those that aspire to compete in obedience and other dog sports. His philosophy is based on play and teaching the rules of the game - an ideal balance to motivate your dog and perform at its best. He understands how dogs think and teaches us humans the science and psychology behind canine behavior. And most importantly Kirubell is committed to the long term success of the dog and relationship with its owner / family. During the course of training my Giant Schnauzer, I had a management issue with my pup, and Kirubell offered to connect with me virtually while he was teaching professional handlers in Europe (at no charge... which I find remarkable, and a reflection of Kirubell as a genuinely kind and helpful individual). Kirubell worked with us to train our Boston Terrier, Junie, starting from when she was around 8 months old. She is a wild and playful dog and Kirubell taught us how to channel her play drive into a training tool that offered a foundation for discipline and obedience. Through the training, Junie developed excellent behavior on-leash and at home. Thanks to the guidance and hard work that Kirubell invested in training both us and the dog, we have been able to travel all over the country with Junie - who now excels at airports - we can allow her safely off-leash in public, and we can count on her to be a well-behaved at home. The knowledge, expertise, and passion that Kirubell has for this work is unmatched. I learned a tremendous amount along the way and was inspired by the passion that he has for the animals he deeply loves. He takes a versatile approach to training, adapting his approach to the specific drives and behavioral quirks of each dog. We met Kirubell - of KIBA K-9s - while being walked by our dog during the first few months of having her. He was enjoying play time with his dog, while we were struggling with our big 4 month old puppy. We were clearly not experienced and needed some help to actually be the ones who walked her so we sought help. Kirubell took time to assess us with her, develop a relationship with her (SHE LOVED HIM and looked for him everyday), and then walked alongside us as we trained her. He worked closely with my family (including my children - both under ten at the time) to train her and observed us afterwards to ensure that we were consistent. By the end, we learned to walk, place, and work on her impulse at a very young age thanks to Kirubell's guidance.

We met Yves in the park when our mini-Goldendoodle, Miles, was just a few months old. I watched how he interacted with his dog and how we observed the other pups out and about. I’m sure he could tell I was a new dog-mom and he shared a few tips to help me take care of my pup as he hesitantly explored this new social environment with range of unfamiliar dogs. This was the start of a great relationship with Yves and Kiba of Kiba K9. We left Miles with them for the 6 week Board and Train program when Miles was about 5 months old. The program included create training/housebreaking, obedience training, leash walking, healthy socialization and more. They really learned Miles, his temperament and how he is motivated, The family received several private lessons during and after the 6 week program so that we could continue to bond with Miles, learn the commands and reinforce the training at home. Since then we’ve boarded Miles with Kiba K9 for reinforcement training when we travel. Not only was Miles a different puppy when we brought him home but we were much better informed/prepared to be the best family possible for Miles. Kiba has a genuine love for dogs; he has studied with and is mentored by experts in the field. I first got my puppy shortly before the 2020 lockdown which left me with few opportunities to socialize my pup Zuko.
