I am so grateful to Joshua for helping get back on track with training my energetic spaniel puppy. I felt like I had plateaued during her 'teenage' stage and Joshua's guidance helped me get back to successful training.. We did e-collar training and reviewed basic concepts of the owner-dog relationship. I have had great results with my dog ever since and highly recommend King K9 for any dog related problems or just basic training.

We had never done anything like this before and really were not sure what to expect. While it was difficult having our puppy gone for 3 weeks, the transformation that took place was incredible! Joshua’s approach and demeanor was just what our girl Isla needed! We are so happy with the progress that was made, and while it is up to us to maintain consistency, Joshua provided all of the right tools for us to be successful! We highly recommend!!! We went to King K9 Academy for help with our adolescent golden retriever, who was very reactive to certain other dogs. Walking him on or off leash had become a high-stress, unpleasant and unpredictable experience. Josh spent a great deal of time with us discussing both the nature of the problem and our pup's behavior more generally before recommending a course of training and post-training action. Our dog loved Josh, responded very well to the training, and transferred the learning quite well to our family. No more high-stress walks. We were apprehensive beforehand about curing the problem but changing our pup's personality - those concerns were completely unfounded. He is the same happy boy, just much less reactive and all of us (including the dog) are less stressed. We would give Josh our highest recommendation!

We sent our timid, somewhat anxious Aussie mix pup (7months old) to work with Joshua for a 3 week board and train and are overjoyed with her progress. Prior to training she was very reactive when coming across other dogs or even strangers when on trail walks or in town walks. Now she can walk right by another dog or stranger without flinching or barking. Our other goal was to have an off leash dog with good recall and so far are expectations have been met. While we haven’t ventured outside our yard yet to test out her recall, she’s been spot on and I cannot wait to see how she does out on the hiking trails. Her good behavior is even starting to rub off on our 8 year old Boston terrier who has always had bad manners. I definitely recommend Joshua as an excellent dog trainer for all of your dog related needs.
