King K9 Academy offers board and train programs on a 15-acre working farm in Richmond, Maine. Every dog is personally trained by Joshua Antell , one trainer, four dogs max, over 20 years of experience. Programs include The Puppy Head Start (1 week, ages 3–6 months), The Complete Program (3 weeks, off-leash obedience and behavior modification, 6 months+), and The Cornerstone Program (on-leash training). Maple has always been an anxious dog- smart, energetic, stubborn, and reactive. We are first-time dog owners and don’t always know how to set and enforce rules that help her know what to do—- and relieve her anxiety. Josh worked with maple on her reactivity, obedience and self regulation. His work with us, however, made the bigger change. We have developed a much better understanding of what type of leadership Maple needs from us to be the good dog she wants to be.
Maple ADORES Joshua. Seeing how excited she was to see him after her first stay helped me feel better about leaving her for so long.
