I cannot recommend Tommy enough. We did an advanced obedience course for our dog Barley and Tommy made everything look so easy. He spent the first portion of the session to teach Barley the skill while I watched, then he spent the rest of the class making sure I knew how to continue practicing the skill at home. He was extremely knowledgeable and when there was extra time in a session, he would use it to build on Barley’s skill so I felt like when we finished the course, Barley knew even more than I expected. Not only did Barley learn a ton of skills, but we also realized that he has a lot of anxiety and can be reactive around other dogs and people when he’s uncomfortable so Tommy taught me how to correct that and also explained the behavior so I could better understand why it was happening. I plan to also schedule my new pup with him and recommend him to anyone else looking for a dog trainer.

Tommy is by far the best dog trainer we have ever encountered. We wanted to start our Siberian Husky off on the right foot and enrolled her in puppy training with Tommy at 12 weeks old. Our girl flourished with training and even though huskies can be a stubborn, high-energy working breed, Tommy built a strong, trusting relationship with her and helped teach us how to use her energy and intelligence to our advantage. His ability to communicate effectively with dogs is incredible and we will continue leveraging Tommy’s expertise. Our husky has been through many levels of training with Tommy and will continue to go back for more. We are very pleased to have a sweet, smart, and obedient husky all with Tommy’s help! As you can see from the pic, she’s still a silly husky but stays in her “place” command on her cot, which she learned from Tommy!

We had the BEST experience with Tommy training our young Australian Shepherd, Olive. A typical herding dog, Olive is energetic, social, and sometimes too smart for her own good. Tommy really trained us more than Olive--he gave us the tools to communicate with her more effectively and engage her mentally. She absolutely loved training with him and is a happier dog for it. Without Tommy's help, we wouldn't have half the confidence we do to take Olive on the walks, hikes, and swimming adventures she loves so much. We can't thank him enough!

I cannot say enough good things about Tommy and his ability to train a dog!! Tommy helped me with my reactive GSD, Zeke. Over 8 classes, Zeke is much more confident and obedient. And I’m a better owner. That’s what I really love about Tommy’s training - he trains YOU. I never knew my dog’s biggest problem was me. He was kind but said what needed to be said. He never made me feel bad or guilty about my dog. He treated Zeke like he was his own, and it gave me so much peace about taking Zeke to him. You have to be careful with a reactive dog. I felt nothing but comfort with Tommy, and Zeke loves him. He would get so excited when we would pull in the parking lot. I truly could go on and on and on. If you’re looking for a damn good trainer, someone who REALLY cares about your dog and you, you’re in the right place.
