Referred Mark to my pitbull’s foster family that was seriously considering adoption. They even introduced Prince to their mom’s pitbull and the video was nothing short of miraculous in the way he showed no fear or aggression. I spoke with Mark in regards to Prince 8 mths prior and he seemed optimistic but of course was recommending prong collars. I had tried various such collars and I knew it was not going to work with my dog. It made him pull even more and it was not a humane way to train a dog in my opinion. I moved forward with CBD oil, consistent exercise and schedule and he did great. The reason I had to rehome him was a circumstantial issue not in regards to my dog’s behavior.. So when I had referred Mark to this potential new adopter he made a judgement wo even meeting Prince in regards to his aggression and fear with unknown dogs This is a trainer who speaks about his ability to rehabilitate rescue dogs and even has a “no red zone,” dog training plan. Based on other reviews It seems the results were not matching the high price of the live in program. In this case I think it would have been more responsible to just say hey “I don’t feel I’m the best fit for this situation.” It seemed Mark wanted to blame it on the dog’s inability to change. I have videos that show the contrary and Prince can be rehabilitated and live an awesome life.

Mark has truly been a lifesaver for my partner and I and we are beyond grateful to have found him. We adopted our super sweet, but high energy, dominant, hard-headed Husky/Pit mix from OHS about 2 years ago, when she was around 9 months old. We had several "what have we gotten ourselves into" moments after her true *intense* personality started to show a few weeks after we adopted her. She is a sweetheart, but would get overexcited easily, and definitely thought she had the rule of the land in our home, challenging us every chance she got. We needed some serious guidance on how to establish ourselves as the leaders of our pack family. After searching around online we came across Mark's website and thought it was a great fit. After just ONE in-home visit with Mark we noticed a difference with Macha's behavior. Fast forward months later and she was a completely different dog – listening better, walking well on walks, fewer moments of showing dominant behaviors in the house, etc. We’ve been working with Mark for two years now and honestly wouldn’t trust anyone else with our training or boarding (live-in training) needs. Leader of the Pack certainly may not be the cheapest around, but you truly get what you pay for when it comes to training for a dog with needs like Macha’s. We needed results and we’ve gotten them. When she stays at Mark’s while we are out of town we have peace of mind knowing her training is being reinforced and that she’s able to be in a constructive pack environment with the other dogs. I take comfort in knowing her intense playstyle is monitored and corrected when needed to be, and over the past year or so she’s been able to fit right in to every pack that she's worked with at Mark’s! If you have a dog that other training facilities have told you is “a problem”, “not trainable”, or “just too difficult” do not lose hope – bring them to Leader of the Pack and watch Mark’s patience, intuition, compassion, and experience in action. And it’s worth noting that in addition to being a great trainer Mark has been a compassionate business owner. He has gone above and beyond to help us out when we’ve been in a pinch and needed care for Macha.

We had adopted our Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix without knowing about her dog aggression issues. We worked months with other trainers in town but unfortunately it was helping our pup. As a last resort we gave Mark I call with no expectations that our pup would get any better. To our surprise, our pup has made huge strides and can now stay calm/cool/collected around other dogs. We can’t thank Mark enough for helping us train our dog. If it wasn’t for him, we’d likely look into finding our dog another home. Glad we gave Mark a call. I highly recommend him.

Great Experience working with Mark! Really good communication every step of the way. He helped us so much with our Havanese. Our dog is behaving so much better after just a couple of sessions. He has a real understanding of different breed behaviors as well as the pack mentality. He also has a great understanding of human behaviors that effect dog behavior good and bad as well! So happy that he was recommended to us!
