I have over 30 years experience with dog ownership and training. I got interested in dog training in1972. I have worked with and trained protection dogs, service dogs and family dogs. All of my training is done at my private training studio located behind my home in Lexington South Carolina .I only allow one dog in my training program at a time so that I make sure I give you and your dog the best training results possible.

Amazing experience! John was great with our Bully mix. Our dog is listening great, following commands and heeling perfectly (no more pulling). He sent videos everyday for the week he was training to update us and followed up after too. He genuinely cares about the dogs he trains and gets results! Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience with Lexington Dogs. Mr. John is very knowledgeable and gave us a free consultation. He showed us some exercises to do with our dog to begin obedience training. Our dog loved him and was very responsive to him. Mr. John uses positive reinforcement to train the dogs, which is super effective. You can tell that he knows his stuff and loves dogs. I’m so glad we came across Lexington Dogs!
We could not be happier with our experience with John. He trained our 6 month old 60lb Golden Mountain Doodle and follows up several times a week on progress, questions/concerns, and advice. I would trust him with any dog of ours and will be using him in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about John! When our dog came to John he had absolutely no training at all. He didn’t even know how to sit. John has transformed our Australian Shepherd into a whole new dog. Dropping Draco off the first day, I was so nervous. John quickly put my mind at ease when we walked in and he showed us around and even started to teach Draco to place. John walked us through everything that he would be teaching during the week and even shared a documentary with us on the benefits of feeding your dog raw meat instead of kibble. My husband and I got a video every single day showing us what Draco had learned that day. We even got to see him interact with John’s dogs and learn how to correctly play! Draco was very reactionary and all over the place before going to John. As I sit and write this review Draco is laying on the couch with his head in my lap. After the week was over John came and dropped Draco back off at our house and stayed with us for an hour to teach us how to continue implementing and practicing everything Draco had learned. John is so kind and was always eager to answer mine and my husband questions. If you’re looking for a dog trainer John is 100% the man to come to!! Thank you again John for being so amazing and showing our dog love while also teaching him how to work! We are so happy to be apart of the Dog Captain pack now!!
