Lisa's Nosy Puppers Dog Training

My wife Olivia and I worked with Lisa many years ago, and she was fantastic. Her knowledge and passion for dogs were incredible. She used positive-reinforcement methods based on Pavlov’s theory — the idea that dogs learn through association. In simple terms, when a dog does something right and immediately receives something positive, the behavior becomes stronger. Which is a really effective! I still remember her teachings for example the “3 Ds” — distance, duration, and distraction. Much love Alex!

I inherited my dog Jojo (a crazy pug )after my brother passed away from cancer. Jojo was alot to deal with. Peeing in the house, barking, and chewing everything. I thought I was going to have to find him another home which really saddened me because my brother would have wanted him to be taken care of. I tried a trainer in Vallejo who did mostly E collars but his behavior didn't improve. I called around and another trainer thought Lisa would be a good fit. He was right. Jojo did 9 months of training and his behavior dramatically improved. Hes still pretty high energy but I feel confident that I can keep him. Lisa can be though but she is great and I'd recommend her to anyone.

Lisa is an amazing trainer, I love her approach with creating a communication path for you and your dog, it all seems so simple but so efficient, no more yelling! . We went with our rescue adult Dogo who is very stubborn. Lisa showed me how to communicate with our dog, her feedback is direct and honest and if you listen and practice, you will see amazing and fast results. The benefit of the group is that you get to see her show the commands multiple times with different dogs, all of them reacting differently. Her first session around nutrition, crate training, potty training is so eye opening, and informative, I have referred to it many times since. Lisa will answer texts, calls and will do anything to get you and your dog on a successful path. And if you are lucky enough to see her with her dogs, you will see the art of the possible!

My family adopted our dog Root Beer and immediately started him in training. Lisa truly is an angel sent from heaven! She is knowledgeable, and cares about dogs. Lisa has a strong and confident personality and will make sure you have the tools and training for your dog to be successful. We will forever be grateful to her and will continue to take her classes. Lisa is a trainer who cares about you and your dog and you will not find anybody who is more passionate. Please remember Lisa’s gives you as the owner all the training and tools, but it is up to you to continue training at home to see progress. Our dog Root Beer couldn’t even be around other dogs and people and now he can!!

My two Olde English Bulldogge's (Mugzy and Knuckles) participated in Lisa's classes over the last year. We started with puppy class when they were just about 6 months old through the advanced class that just finished. I have to say most of the training was actually for me....to learn how to work with the dogs to get them to respond in the manner I want. Lisa's knowledge about training and her methods were just what we needed to get moving in the right direction. I highly recommend reaching out to Lisa if you have training needs!!
