Lucky Dog Training Club

Over the past year we have used Lucky Dog Training Club's daytime training and play packages as well as the evening behavior classes, and I can confidently recommend all three. The service is top-notch, and the trainers are great with our dog and a valuable resource for us as dog-owners. We started taking our mini golden doodle (Penny) two days a week as soon as she was old enough to attend and we could not be happier. Having our puppy growing up in an environment focused on socialization and positive reinforcement has helped us immensely with raising a happy and well-behaved dog. She loves her trainers and greets them excitedly when they come to the car to get her. At the minimum Lucky Dog provides a premium day care service for dogs (the day play package). In addition to caring for our puppy they also engage in trainer led group play and group training that provides critical socialization with other age/energy appropriate dogs and reinforces good behaviors. This goes above and beyond what one might expect from just "day care." The day training packages are, I think, where they really shine. These packages add one on one training to the day play package. The trainers spend time working on specific behaviors and the video report card is a wonderful tool to help us as dog owners learn along and follow up at home. The evening classes are a useful addition to the day training and being able to work with trainers familiar with our dog was a big help. It also provides a unique opportunity to interact with the trainers and get more insight on how to best help our puppy. The service is not cheap (though they do have periodic sales that make it more affordable) and Jupiter has a lot of great places to take dogs for day care, however, the service here stands above and it has definitely been worth it -- both for our pet and for us as pet owners.

Our golden retriever puppy started going to Lucky Dog in Jupiter when he was 3 months old. Our vet recommended it to us so I thought it had to be great place and she was right! He is 8 months old now and has learned so much! Our plan is for him to be a therapy dog and his training at Lucky Dog has created a great foundation for his future therapy training. The facility is clean and beautiful and the staff and trainers are amazing. It is obvious everyone there loves dogs and loves their job!
