Can a black lab be trained to like cats
I think it's entirely possible to train your dog to mostly ignore your cats. That would be an appropriate goal, don't you think?

We have a Silver lab puppy. She lives with our cats just fine. At 1st she wanted to play with them. But now she understands she can hurt them and leave them alone.

I have taken my dogs to Lucky Dog Training many times. They are an excellent training center. Jamie and Toni are both awesome trainers with many years of experience. Their day training helped me immensely with one of my dog's reactivity and barking and lunging at other dogs. He is so much better now after practicing meets and greets with lots of other new dogs that he didn't know. I never would have been able to make progress like this on my own. Lucky Dog also offers some great group evening classes that I have taken with my dogs. All the trainers there use purely positive training techniques with NO aversives like shock collars or choke chains. Great center, great trainers!

Lucky dog training was recommended to me by a neighbor. My 10month old puppy has been enjoying his session. The staff has been excellent in focusing on good behavior

Came to know of them through the Peggy Adams Shelter - They run a very structured program, post training aid video's daily so instructions can be repeated at home before next visit. They also manage to weave specific problem areas into their training program. Especially liked the staff (Toni specifically) for taking the time to understand our needs and explain how their program works. Will definitely come back for future needs.
