My wife and I brought our three year old Australian Shepherd (Gigi) to Jennifer. We had tried to train her for so long and used other trainers, but nothing worked and she continued to have behavioral issues. Gigi went away for training and came back an incredible and happy dog. She was still her playful self but became incredibly obedient. I would recommend Lucky Star to anyone with a dog, at any age!

The full extent to which we have been able to get the most out of our 4-legged kids is by establishing a mutual understanding with them. Jen not only trains the dogs...but owners as well! With her program, we have more fully enjoyed off leash hikes, taking our dogs around town, helping both dogs and human kids understand what is and is not acceptable and how to co-exist within the same home. While we did the board and train program, it's great to also be able to rely on Lucky Star for boarding...which also serves as a reminder to everything learned in the program.
We feel very lucky to have been referred to Lucky Star years ago and to continue our relationship with Jen!

Jennifer did a great job with our 10 month old pup! She was incredibly helpful teaching us how to keep up with our dog’s training and continues to check in regularly weeks later. Our dog is a happier, safer, more disciplined pup than when we dropped her off. We went from chaos to off leash walking in just 3 weeks!

Highly recommend!! I saw a huge behavior change with our Shiba Inu without compromising his loving and playful personality!!! He responds well to commands and there is a night/day difference on walks and public places. I have yet to find a better boarding experience as well (so much so that I now drive a long way to do so after having to move!) Life changing differences!

We thought our stubborn, independent dog was beyond help, but after our friends had a wonderful experience with Jen, we decided it was worth a shot. Now we wish we had done this 2 years ago. When we picked him up, it was clear that he loved Jen and that she had built a connection with him. Our lives are so much less stressful because we know our dog won’t bolt out the door every time it opens. He’s even stopped being anxious when he hears lawn equipment outside, and we feel like he’s more affectionate with us. I don’t have to worry about him jumping on people when he’s excited to see them. And walks are so much more pleasant. This training literally changed our lives and was worth every penny!
