Man & His Mutt

Alex is amazing!!!! 10/10!!! I was incredibly anxious and frustrated by my dog’s often inappropriate engagement with people and other dogs. I was about to put him on medication but was so worried he’d be a shadow of himself. We’d done trainings before but were still having issues. I decided to give training one last go. I’ve had multiple dogs including Germans Shepherds but my current little buddy was incredibly frustrating. I first came across Man and His Mutt via google while frantically trying to figure out what to do after a less than ideal incident leaving me in tears. I then had an opportunity to meet Alex at Dog Days of Summer. He was incredibly kind and patient. We worked with over a few months and my dog has never been better! We get compliments from people who knew our dog prior! I feel like my dog can live the life he deserves! Even more so, Alex helped me realize part of my anxiety was coming from not understanding how to communicate with my dog and that the anxiety was stemming from the fact my dog was selectively reactive leading to seemingly unpredictable behavior. He helped us set realistic expectations and taught us so much about our sweet boy. He even told us about a reactive dog walk and helped walk our little buddy! We will be continuing to use him for walking and spot training sessions to continue working on smaller behavioral issues. Every dog needs “hotdog man” in their life!
