Shannon and her team saved my dogs life and my sanity! I am more serious than joking when I say that. Most of my life I have had a Gsd as a partner . My last exquisite shepherd was trained for visual aid and cancer therapy so I thought I knew my way around these dogs… until I rescued Elsa. I had long wanted to train with Shannon but the truth is , the cost was more than I could manage . I knew she was worth it. The best always are. But it simply was not in my budget . …until I rescued Elsa. Shortly after coming home, this 50 lb young and growing pup was displaying unpredictable and potentially dangerous behavior. Nothing in my experience made sense of this. I feared that if it escalated the dog would be put down. I felt like a failure and a lousy handler, but I also knew I was in over my head. I called Man’s Best Friend and asked for Shannon. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Shannon quickly accessed that Elsa was not an aggressive dog but a dog whose nervous system was super sensitive. She was easily overwhelmed and when in that state she did not make good decisions. This is best described when Shannon handed me a vibrating collar and said “ tell me when you feel the vibration. “ I held the collar in my hand and at a 15 , I began to feel a slight vibration. “ Elsa feels that at a 9” I was blown away. Elsa was not a broken dog She was not aggressive She was not unpredictable. She is a dog trying to navigate a world that can easily overwhelm her. Shannon knew the language to help her. More importantly, she could teach it to me. Working with Shannon and her team is an investment and a commitment to the relationship you will have with your dog, but If you love your dog and want the very best relationship she is the one who can teach you how. Mr Banks spent over 30 days in Man’s Best Friend’s boarded training program. Banks is a rescue, and had a plethora of issues stemming from that (resource guarding, leash reactivity, high anxiety). Shannon and her team were able to help him become the best version of himself. Thanks to MBF Banks’ entire world has opened up, he’s able to run off leash, we no longer have to turn the opposite way when we see another dog on a walk, and he’s learned to relax and settle. While there he always had a sweater on him, a blanket to lay down on, and I was updated by constant Facebook pictures. Now that he’s home, I still have the ability to consult Shannon on any and all questions I have. It took a village to help Banks, and I’m thankful to Man’s Best Friend for being that village.

Finnley our Golden is 5 yrs old and was becoming more disrespectful and difficult to handle. The training and care at MBF was the best. We were so Satisfied with the results we saw on day 1 of Finnley returning. Walking , Down , Here and other training reinforcements were spot on. Shannon is the ULTIMATE pro in this field and her staff is to be complimented for his care and attention. We plan to use the facility to board when we need to travel. I’d rate it higher than a 5 . Wow! Talk about a breath of fresh air! I was VERY nervous to leave my 5mo old puppy for a week while out on a work trip. This boarding facility was the unanimous vote among Facebook groups and I can tell why. The staff is SO friendly. SO helpful. It isn’t the cheapest boarding option but the “all inclusive” aspect makes the price extremely fair. My Ruby was ecstatic to see me when I picked her up but staff assured me she got the hang of the routine no problem and gave them no issues. She didn’t develop any bad habits and was just as clean as when I left her! The facility has staff everyday and the owner lives on sight! It’s a clear decision who I will board her with in the future, I am so glad I found this establishment!
