Master's Way Dog Training

I’ll try to keep this short and to the point but I could probably write an essay about all the different things you’ll learn at Master’s Way Dog Training. To start, Rick isn’t just a dog trainer. He trains you too and teaches you about the relationship between you and your dog. He shows you how this relationship leads to not only you being happier but also your pooch becoming successful and happy too. Learning why my dog behaved the way he did before training was really enlightening and Rick helped me see that I had been addressing the wrong issues and in the wrong way for the first 10 months of my dog’s life. Rick bridges the gap between our language and that of our K-9 companions so we better understand each other. During the consultation (which is free) Rick will show you one of his dogs and it’s clear that there is something more there than just a man and his well-trained dog. There’s complete confidence and trust with ZERO intimidation or force. It just doesn’t exist in the relationship. From the very first day of training, my dog was so much more calm and confident. You could see it in his eyes. From there things only got better and will continue to do so. I recommend Rick for any breed of dog and for whatever issues you are having with your dog. Honestly going to see Rick was one of the best choices we could have ever made. His knowledge of dogs and training were beyond anyone I had ever met. He really made us take a look at our dog's perspective instead of just our own. I'm so thankful for all of his help! His work with us has helped to make our home more peaceful and our dog more confident. Our dog lacked confidence and was starting to become nervous/aggressive around new people and dogs. After the first day with Rick you could see his confidence boost. The training and drills that Rick taught us have continued to help him build his confidence and to build our relationship. Rick is one of the BEST dog trainers in the world. I say this with all sincerity (and have seen his gigantic trophies). He has to live somewhere and we are lucky enough to have him live here. I love that he doesn't use treats. It is very straight forward and simple, once you get the hang of it. And the results are FAST - if you are consistent and put the work into it. His training is for both you and the dog, so be prepared to work. Rick can be tough, but if you are humble enough to listen to him, and keep working to become better, it will be life changing for you and your dog. I promise. When I have talked to people about Rick's lesson process, some have been hesitant about leaving their dog for the day. They wonder what he does to the dogs that creates such a dramatic change so quickly. They worry that he hurts the dogs. Let me tell you, he does NOT hurt the dogs. He gets upset if a dog's collar is even pulled unfairly during lessons. My dog would always get SO EXCITED to go to Rick's. That doesn't happen if Rick were mean. If you want serious results and a great dog, go to Rick. We have been extremely happy with our decision - and so has our pooch.
