Master's Way Dog Training

My husband and I reached out to Master's Way Dog Training after relocating to the Syracuse area. We live in the city where there is constant activity, and noticed our dogs were starting to become aggressive on their leash. Taking them out for a walk was exhausting because once they were in the zone of barking, there was nothing we could say or do to get them to listen to us. We felt like we were at our wits-end considering our dogs are not puppies and almost six years old. Then, I called Master's Way Dog Training and talked to Rick on the phone. I talked to him about what was going on, and he said to bring them down for a consultation. The minute we met him, I knew he was the dog trainer for us. After a couple minutes of assessing their behavior, he understood our dog’s personalities, and talked about how we can work through the issues. The first day of dog training with Rick we noticed an amazing transformation. Throughout the training he helped us understand how our dogs think, and why they didn't listen to us. What we thought was obedience was actually us confusing them. Once Rick showed us how to create clarity with our dogs- we all started to understand each other better. He transformed our dog’s behavior without using fear, treats, or bribery. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed working with Rick, and highly recommend Master's Way Dog Training!!!!

I just want to take a moment to say that we went through dog training with our beautiful little boy the past few weeks and I couldn't be more happy with the results. Rick with masters way training in Syracuse turned out beagle from a dog that pooped and peed all over the house, tore his crates apart, scratched doors, and ran away into a dog that never poops and pees in the house (since the day we started training), goes on walks without pulling, doesn't try to get out anymore, and STAYS when we tell him too. We are even able to take him off the leash outside and I never thought that would be possible!! Rick has so much dedication to dogs and I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a trainer!! He doesn't use treats or punishment but really works on building a strong relationship with your dog, he's a great guy I'm so happy we chose him!

First off i just want to thank Rick for a priceless experience. Our training isn't even over and my 3 year old blue brindle pitbull is a different dog. I came to Rick because i have two young girls and wanted to learn how to train my dog so i didn't have to worry about either of my kids getting hurt. We love leo as another part of our family. Right in the beginning Rick brought out Leo's confidence and my confidence that i hired the right guy on the first try. With practice and effort we're changing as a whole. Less stress and anxiety in the home is creating a better dog. I just want to say thank you to Rick, and to anyone with a dog, even if you think they're perfect they can be better with a little training.
