We have a 8 moth old pitbull puppy that we rescued at 6 weeks old. He was full of energy and quite stubborn at times. He would not come to you when called, he pulled on the leash, and he barked at stangers and other dogs. I began to wonder if this dog could be trained. We have had dogs over the years such as Rottweilers, Labs and Boxers. They were all easy to train, but this pitbull had a mind of his own. I began to research trainers in the area and found Master Trainer with good reviews and a very resonable price for the 10 day boot camp. I spoke to the staff about their services a few times until I made the decision to enroll him. In all honesty, I had some doubts that this dog can be fully trained. I called a couple of times during the 10 days to speak to the staff about how Jax was doing. The comments were positive and told me that he was progressing at a good rate with his training. Each time I hung up the phone, I asked myself if that could be true. Finally the 10th day came and it was time to pick Jax up. When we arrived I saw a trainer in the distance walking a dog that was calm and walking next to him like it should. As we got closer, it was our puppy Jax. I was amazed. The trainer Mark, showed us what commands he had learned (over 10) and then had us take the leash and give all the commands. Jax is a different puppy. Mark was very good at training us how to perform the commands and the Do's & Don'ts. We continue to work with Jax daily. We highly recommend Master Trainer to anyone. And for the money for 10 full days it is the best price around. When I researched the other trainers they ranged from $1,000 to over $2,000 for the same services. Master Trainer 10 day Boot Camp is $450. Check into it if you want your dog trained.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, Tony/Master Trainer Co.! I highly recommend Tony of MasterTrainer Co., and cannot adequately express my gratitude: I have a high-drive, intact European Doberman. I got him at 3 months of age to immediately replace my 3-year old Doberman one week after my loss. My previous Dobe and I had an extremely special relationship, and to say the least, I was traumatized by the loss and did not get (and still haven't) gotten through the grieving process well. Simultaneously, my husband developed a medical condition requiring care and cross-country physician visits. As a result of the circumstances, I was more indulgent and lax in my training, lax in setting boundaries, and not attentive or sufficiently responsive to the subtle (and some not so subtle) changes and challenges of a dominant, intact, protection-trained, high-drive, high-powered adolescent male coming of age. Desperate, I fostered the dog and began a search for dog "behaviorists" for which most no longer took on such cases, were military only, and/or had many-month-long waiting lists and did not offer much promise of hands on, direct interaction, but mostly an evaluation to be followed by a "home plan." By good fortune, I got the recommendation for Master Trainer Co. from Santa Fe Animal Hospital. From the very start, meeting with Tony in consultation and developing a game plan gave me hope. He was able to listen to my hysterical recount, personalization, and anthropomorphilizing of events and calmly ascertain the salient features, give understandable dog-centric explanations, and offer steps to address each issue. He was very clear in the plan, the purpose behind each step of the plan, and the rules to be followed. He was supportive and empathetic, but appropriately-firm. With confidence, and a new sense of direction, I was able to immediatley bring my dog home and begin training and rehabilitation. It was not, and is still is not, easy, but there was immediately progress and hope was strengthened. In addition to the private training sessions, I had the privilege of attending Tony's group obedience classes. What an amazing experience! A class of about 20 dogs, of varied ages, size, intensity, and responsiveness -- from goofy puppy to scary, aggressive. Surrounded by other large, "aggressive" breed dogs and other interesting distractions. With me and my Dobe in the middle. But Tony's calm and controlled demeanor kept all organized and functional, and each week the progress of each and every dog was notable. And what a treat to witness the pride and joy of all the other owners, as well as myself, as their dogs progressed to levels of calmness, control and obedience that they did not think was attainable. I live 150 miles from Corpus Christi, with the brutal and boring pass through Kings Ranch and a few speeding tickets. But every mile was completely worth it!
