Master Trainer Co

We initially started with the Master Trainer Company's "puppy boot camp", and just had our second follow up appointment (4 are included...us pet parents need to learn too). My pup is very intelligent, but also very hard-headed and to me, the results have been nothing short of excellent. Tony and the staff have been friendly, helpful, and always take the time to answer questions and explain the answers. They have exceeded my expectations at every turn in training my pup and in training ME. Highly recommended.

I was very disappointed in my end results. I left my German Shepherd there for the 10 day $450 training. I called several times to get clarification on what would be trained. My biggest concern was the puppy biting on things and potty training. I was told about the $60 class but with that class they would not potty train and i was not sure if i could do 6 weeks straight. So I opted for the more expensive class. When I went to get her I was very shocked to find out choker chains are used for the training. Then I found out absolutely no potty training was done. Then I'm told I need to bring her for follow up classes for the next several weeks. I did only do one follow up visit because they said for the biting I need to slap her mouth shut and say no biting. And for potty training they gave me a printout. I still have her and she is getting better with her behavior but in all honesty it is no thanks to this training facility.

My fiancé and I were looking into dog training places in the area and read great reviews about Master Trainer and were planning on starting our German shepherd in their obedience classes in September. In the meantime, we needed a place to board our dogs for the weekend while we made a trip to Austin so we decided to try out Master Trainer boarding. Upon arriving we were a little skeptical because all their kennels were outside. This made me a little nervous that the dogs would overheat since it is August and extremely hot outside. However the lady at the desk who we spoke with assured us that the dogs would be taken inside from 12-5 since it is the hottest time of the day. This made us feel better knowing our dogs would get a break from the heat. When we got back from our trip at 3 pm we saw that our dogs were outside in the kennels still. They were panting like crazy. So this led us to believe that whole "noon to five inside" thing was completely made up since we arrived right in the middle of that time slot and it was clear our dogs had been outside the whole time. We tried to get over it and move on but once we got home we noticed both our dogs had bites all over their bellies. I will never board my dogs there again and I recommend that nobody else does either.
