Mattox Dog Training Academy

We adopted Zeus a 3 year old Belgian Mal from Mikeys chance. He was getting trained out at MDTA for showing issues towards human males. After coming home with us he shows how greatly trained he is by doing amazing around our kids and other dogs. With this breed comes a lot of high energy which in the wrong hands can be hard to handle but Chance and Mary got him exactly where we needed him to be! I would recommend MDTA to anyone and everyone!

We adopted a dog from a "rescue". She'd been kept there in a 4x4 ft kennel, without being let out to potty. She was aggressive if corrected, like if she was told to get off the couch. She was also hyper-protective of me, not letting our other dogs near me at times. She didn't know how to interact with others so she one by one attacked the other dogs during what should have been playtime. So now I had a dog that couldn't be trusted around my teens or other pets, wouldn't be house trained, was terrified of being outside and couldn't be outside alone because she easily cleared 6ft fences to come find me, and couldn't be kenneled because not only would she hurt herself to get out, she was used to sleeping in her own potty. Three of our five dogs are rescue pups. I'd never had such a handful of sweet terror. I called & met with Kari & Mary. They agreed to help if they could. It took 3 long months but Miku is home again and loving life. Yes, she did set a new record or two, Mary said. But Chance & everyone did a great great job. Miku now loves group play, respects the old dogs, and hasn't gone potty in the house or in her kennel for weeks. I was absolutely floored when I saw videos of Miku sitting relaxed during group training, or running free in the field with other dogs. It's just AWESOME! We're still working on not chasing one of the cats, and not being velcroed to me. But I'm sure we'll get there. I just can't tell you how much help Chance & everyone has been. They went above and beyond other training programs I've tried. They truly want everyone comfortable.

The amount of attention to both the animals and owners is astounding! Chance, Mary AND Kari made themselves so accessible to us. We had a lot of questions and concerns, but they took the time to meet with us and sort everything out. Our dog had some behavioral issues that if left unchecked would have been quite problem-some as he got older. After training with Chance and Mary he is quite the well-mannered gentlemen and a joy to be around. We no longer have anxiety about having him around other dogs and people, which is a HUGE relief. And we can trust him to be in our house by himself, knowing he isn't going to tear our house to shreds while we're gone for a bit is also a huge relief. We are so grateful to have worked with Mattox Dog Training Acedemy and hope to continue to work with them in the future. I highly recommend!!!

Chance and Mary are absolutely amazing. They love what they do and it shows. I felt comfortable leaving all 3 of my dogs with them and the results are amazing. I can now walk all 3 dogs together with easy and NO pulling. And when I needed more training Chance was available to provide that for me and Princess. She was super excited to see him again. That assures me they took very good care of them. Thank you Mattox Dog Academy! Take your dog there you will not regret it.
