This is the first time ever taking a dog to someone for training and was a little skeptical about it. All I can say so far is Nick has proven that he is a great trainer and the training works. Nick does an outstanding job explaining why he wants you to do things and why it is beneficial to the training. I would recommend Nick to anyone looking for training for their dog. Nick thank you for taking us as clients and we are excited for the next sessions of training with you.

Nick at MeierK9 did an awesome job with my drahthaar. She went to him to learn how to point birds and game recovery. She is a totally different dog now. Super birdy and an absolute machine on scent trails. I can’t express how happy i am with everything he’s done for her. We brought our young German Shepard puppy mix, Lola, to MeierK9, feeling a bit overwhelmed by her challenging behaviors. Great experience! Our springer “River” is happy, healthy and excited to practice his obedience and bird hunting skills. Post-training, Nick spent a day with our family to help set us up for success at home with River. After six weeks with Meier K9, our dog comes immediately when called, sits, lays down, goes to his “place”, and listens well. Primarily he is a family dog. Prior to training, some unwanted behaviors included jumping on the kitchen table and counters to eat food, and chasing deer. I now have a clear understanding of how to speak and provide gentle correction with River as needed. I feel confident about the positive training methods and high-level care that River received from Meier K9. Each time our dog sees Nick he wags his tail and eagerly goes to him.
