About Mid-Michigan K9 Academy - Saginaw
We created a system involving a combination of balanced and positive reinforcement-based learning techniques. This makes training exciting and fun for your dog and leads them into wanting to perform well for you. They learn faster this way, which is why we’ve been able to accomplish in a week what other training companies take weeks or even months to teach. Leash manners, basic commands, mouthing, jumping, puppy basics, recall (to come when called), pack structure, reactivity, aggression, and impulse control are a few of the subjects we cover, with a special focus on the behaviors which are important to you. What’s more–and so crucial to our system’s success–we show you the techniques to make these new behaviors stick at home.

How much do it cost
Hi Ta’vearia, my name is Jim. I have two primary services. One is the board and train where your dog would stay with me for seven days and nights for intensive training. That is $750. The other is private lessons, where you would bring your dog each week for six weeks to have me coach you. Here, you’d take the lessons and then go home and work the exercises each week. I am delighted to share my most sincere thanks and gratitude to Jim Blau and his entire team. My husband and I welcomed a Goldendoodle puppy into our home to have him become a therapy dog for my practice. We searched far and wide for the best trainers to board and train our puppy. Jim and his entire team possess not only vision and talent but also the element that all the other companies we met with were missing - a true love for dogs and devotion to the training process. Our dog completed the two-week board and train, and I am shocked by his complete transformation. The puppy biting, jumping, excessive barking, chasing, etc., is 100% eliminated. He sits, downs, stays in place, heels, looks, drops, halts, etc., with one word or hand signal from us. He is happier than ever and is now a true joy to be around. We are beyond thankful to Mid-Michigan K-9 Academy, as the combined talents of their entire team have given us the best gift we could have ever imagined. I recommend Mid-Michigan K-9 to anyone who desires to have a magnificently trained dog by the very best trainers.

We sent both our dogs to the academy. Both Stewie and George are rescue dogs and were abused. George was timid and scared of everything and Stewie was scared and reactive. Mid Michigan K9 Academy work wonders and did and amazing job. Unlike other places I researched that trained 1 time a day, the train multiple times a day and do health checks. The daily videos of our babies made our day. Highly recommended. Plus the give veterans and first responders a discount.
