Miracle K9 Training

I have a now 3 year old German shepherd. When I brought him into miracle k9 - he was freshly 2 with some serious resource guarding issues. In need of basic commands and recall. Bridget was our trainer and even though Apollo was away from home for 4 weeks - I knew he was in good hands with her. All the trainers are great but Apollo really took to her. The difference in Apollos behavior in just 4 short weeks was night and day. I could have people at my house without fear of him being aggressive. I can take him to the vet without needing to sedate him first. There’s so much I have to be grateful for since this training. It really changed everything for our family in a positive way. HIGHLY recommend is an understatement.

We brought our 1‑year‑old rescue (Australian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix) to Miracle K-9 in Cleveland after months of desperately trying to train and understand a constantly anxious, reactive dog who “communicated with his teeth” whenever he felt overwhelmed, which seemed to be his perpetual state. Our poor pup, in his first year, had lived in six other places and had been born deaf. He was constantly in fear of being abandoned and abused, and had no trust in anyone. Car rides were chaotic, and he would fixate on and try to chase cars, making everyday activities stressful and potentially dangerous. He hated being touched and could be destructive. We were at wit’s end. Working with Bridget at Miracle K-9 has been a game‑changer. She took the time to understand his history and temperament, and then applied clear, consistent, and humane training methods that built his confidence instead of just suppressing his behavior. Over the course of his training, we watched him change from an anxious dog on high alert into one who is genuinely more comfortable in his own skin and able to make better choices in challenging environments. Best of all, he is joyful, carefree and loves to be petted. He now has solid fundamentals in all the basic commands (sit, down, stay, heel, recall, place), and, impressively, he can walk calmly off‑leash even in busy environments that used to send him over the edge. His behavior in the car is transformed—no more wild lunging or frantic chasing behavior when a car goes by. These changes have made day‑to‑day life safer and far more enjoyable for both him and our family. Bridget herself has been fantastic: professional, patient, and incredibly skilled at reading dogs and coaching owners. Our dog still loves seeing her when we come back for “brush‑up” sessions (which are included, by the way), and those follow‑ups help keep his skills sharp and his confidence high. Our family calls her our miracle worker (no pun intended), because she has simply turned our lives around into something special. We have never seen such a transformation in a dog. We cannot recommend Miracle K-9 Training—and Bridget in particular—highly enough. If you’re in the Cleveland area and looking for a facility that can handle serious behavior issues while still building a happy, confident dog, this is where you want to go.

To say this place changed our lives is an understatement! We cane to Miracle, from MD, with out pittie Moxie back in January. She was impossible to walk bc she barked at every dog, jumped on people and was a disaster. It was always hard having people over bc she would jump on everyone and we were nervous she would knock over our kids friends. We were also terrified to have her around other dogs bc she seemed really unsure and impulsive around d them. Today, Mox is a great walker,- she strolls around our neighborhood with ease, when we are out and about with her, people approach us to pet her, rather then steer clear! Our kids friends have even commented how much better she is! As for other dogs, we have had a few intros- all with great success. She is truly our perfect dog (zoomies and all!)

Truly a MIRACLE! My pitty mix and I traveled from out of state to work with David, and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. After just four days of one on one training sessions, my dog is calm, confident, and happier than ever. I came in just hoping to get my dog to be more neutral. Hoping training would work. Hoping to just be able to manage my dog's inevitable reactivity. Days later, my dog is doing things I never thought possible for him. Walking calmly through parks full of dogs, relaxing on the beach, off leash heeling, and having a solid recall. Passerby's now tell me what a good boy he is! This experience was LIFE CHANGING not only for my dog, but for me as his owner. I am so excited to show my dog the world he has been missing out on. Each session was thoughtfully tailored to my dog’s needs and adjusted daily based on his progress. I learned so much and genuinely enjoyed every session. Working with David and Miracle K9 has been a gamechanger for me and my dog. Prior to working with David, I had spent five years trying multiple trainers, each of which either 1) said my dog was going to exhibit his problem behaviours for the rest of his life and offered only management "solutions", 2) had very complicated plans not actually addressing the problem behaviours that would take months or even years to see progress, or 3) took my money and literally offered nothing…just chatted to me about their dogs during the sessions. Needless to say, I was very hesitant to try another trainer. After six months of working with David VIRTUALLY, my and my dog's lives have drastically improved. Walks are actually relaxing and, dare I say, fun. We can sit in our backyard and on public patios without worry. Guests can come over, and I don't have to have my dog on a leash the entire time. Not only has my world opened up but so has my dog's. He has so much more freedom now and is actually making good choices on his own. It's a joy to see him being able to just be a dog (and a great one at that). I came from a force-free background and had never utilized corrections in training before. David was so understanding and tailored his approach based on my and my dog's experience and comfort level. His approach was very methodical and didn't overwhelm my dog or I, tackling the problem behaviours one or two at a time based on what was affecting our day-to-day the most and then moving on to the next issue as previous ones were resolved. David has been so professional, patient, and responsive. His way of teaching is very clear, and his instructions are very straightforward and easy to follow. Not to mention that any time I have questions, he is always there to clear things up for me in I way I understand and can replicate on my own. David even connected me with a trainer closer to my area to help my dog socialize with other dogs! For the first time in a long time, I'm excited about all the things my dog and I can achieve. I'm so glad I didn't settle for the status quo, and I look forward to continuing to work with David and Miracle K9! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Miracle K9, and if you're on the fence about hiring a trainer, I highly suggest you give Miracle K9 a try.
