Monument City Dog

We could absolutely not be more pleased with our experience with Monument City Dog. Our two dogs just finished training with Laura and Christine, and the results have been life changing. Our older dog (age 5) had debilitating anxiety that kept her on medication and unable to socialize with other dogs. She even needed to be sedated for routine nail trims. Laura and Christine worked tirelessly with her (as evidenced by the video updates received while she was training), and at pick up I got my same sweet pup back minus the stress and angst. She has been off all medications, playful with other dogs, and we have even been able to trim her nails at home. The joy it brings to see her at ease and enjoying her life is without compare. The polite manners and reliable on and off-leash walking both dogs learned are also better than we could have imagined. When we brought the girls back for a boarding stay, they bounded up to Laura and Christine like they were family. We are so thankful to have found MCD, and we are certain you will be too.

Laura is the best in the game! She had my guy for 3 weeks for board & train, specifically for leash reactivity that was stopping me from doing anything with him. He is a transformed dog, quality of life for me and him has skyrocketed!!! She knows her stuff. Look no further for a fabulous trainer! On top of that, she offers boarding…which was a no brainer for my recent vacation!! Louie got a little refresher on his training, played with his friends and I got updates throughout the week just when I started missing him ♥️ All in all, Laura is a great person who wants success for you and your dog! Go see Laura, it’s WORTH it!

We were literally ready to re-home our 70 pound puppy. Not that she wasn't sweet, but she was energetic and had no off button. Laura and her staff are miracle workers. We are so happy with Granola now. As Laura said, "her world got bigger!" I can now take her everywhere because she is polite and can calm. On the way home from training she actually fell asleep in the car. She was never able to relax enough to do that. The other day, hiking off leash we saw a deer and all I had to say is, "Granola," and she came back close to heel position. We actually communicate now, it used to be nothing but a power struggle. We just had 6 folks to our home yesterday and Granola was a pleasure: no jumping, no barking! I can't recommend Laura enough!

We sent our 9 month old Rottweiler to Laura for a 3 week B&T. Our dog knew commands but blew them off and was disrespectful. He also growled during body handling and resource guarded. Now he is a well mannered boy who listens to commands and can be handled. Laura is very responsive and helpful well after the 3 weeks. She does follow-ups and events for graduates. She gives you a great foundation to make is easy when you get home if you stick with it. Worth every penny!
