Monument City Dog

I sent my then 1 year old Lhasa Apso, Oliver, to MCD and it was the best thing I could have done for him! My dog had no manners, demand barked constantly and never listened. He came back a different dog but with the same spunky personality, and I can now bring him everywhere. Laura is so easy to work with and there is no dog she can't train. I now send my dog to her for boarding frequently and I love having a safe and comfortable option for my pup when I go away. It's been about 2 years since his training and Ollie still has all of the skills he learned. We also have been able to ask Laura any questions and had a touch up training session not too long ago to work on an issue he was having. She is wonderful and I cannot recommend her more!!

Laura and team were exactly what we needed for our covid rottweiler dog. 3 years later and he is still a well behaved dog walking through the neighborhood and the woods! We learned so much through the training with Laura. She not only trains the dog, but the buy in from the rest of the family is critical to the overall performance of the program. Whether my dog is walking with me or with my children or my parents, he knows the rules that are in place for him. Laura is responsive, not afraid of a big dog, and more importantly, truly wants these dogs to be happy in their home environment. You can't go wrong with Monument City Dog!

My pup Rusty had the best experience with Laura. He is a rescue dog, presumed to be a stray dog for the first year and a half of his life. He came to me as a sweet, loving pup who was also insecure, fearful, severely anxious, and lacked all confidence. Laura was able to learn about Rusty so fast and understood his behaviors. She learned things that took me the whole year I had Rusty to learn or had not yet learned myself. She uniquely understands each dog and tailors her training around them. Rusty has come back to me a more confident pup. It’s not about making them obedient, but she teaches them coping skills, improving their own decision making and self confidence! Rusty and I could not be more happy. I am not able to put into words truly how strongly I support Laura. I wholeheartedly recommend everyone to do their dog training with her!!!

Let me start by saying Laura and Christine TRULY know their stuff. They are the best!! I had tried other training programs in the area before sending my dog to MCD, but nothing compares to the nonstop work and training they put into all of their dogs! I could never take my dog on enjoyable walks, breweries, around kids, etc because he was SO excited. Now he understands how to chill in his environment and everyone is so much happier. This is hands down the best investment you can make for your dog and YOU! 12/10 communication and professionalism. I cannot recommend enough!
