More Than Dog Training

I cannot recommend Caylen more highly! My 9 month old puppy is extremely smart, EXTREMELY high energy, and also easily spooked/reactive to the world around him. By the time I decided on a board and train, I was honestly at my breaking point and struggling to enjoy my relationship with him. The difference since he came home has been incredible. He listens, follows commands, and has learned how to be gentle/coexist with his much smaller 11-year-old sister. He’s still the same smart, energetic, goofy puppy, but now I have the tools to communicate with him and he has the skills to make better choices. This training genuinely changed my relationship with my dog, and I’m so grateful for the time, patience, and work that went into him!

We have a 7 year old mini Aussie and a 7 month old puppy (mixed breed) that both needed some help with socialization, reactivity and some basic obedience. After tons of research into different board and train programs, we decided on Caylen’s because I liked that it was in her home, as opposed to a cold boarding facility, and because she mentioned taking the dogs out in public a lot, which other programs do not do. After 4 long weeks, the dogs are home and I have to say, it was the best money we ever spent. We went from not even being able to take our oldest dog on walks because she was so reactive on leash, to being able to walk both dogs together with no issues. The change is literally night and day. They are both calmer, more confident and just a joy to have home. Caylen is a magician when it comes to dog training and her approach is so different to other trainers I met with. She updated us almost every day on how they were doing and made sure to address every question we had. We are so thankful for her giving us the freedom we always wanted with our pups! I could not recommend Caylen enough! She helped us with our rescue, Goose, and was amazing the entire time! She is flexible, honest, kind and really easy to work with. She wants your dog to be perfect for you and your needs and isn't judgy if those needs don't match the "perfect" dog. I have worked with trainers in the past that give a ton of grief if you don't think your dog should be to their standards and Caylen is nothing like that. You can tell she cares deeply for the animals she trains and just wants those animals to be cared for and be able to live their best lives. Hands down your best option if you are looking for any sort of training!

Working with Caylen has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my dog, Kiwi, and for me. Kiwi is a reactive dog, and we did a 6 week board and train focused on reactivity and confidence building. I had done training with prior trainers but nothing really “clicked” for us and I often felt overwhelmed and unsure of how to help Kiwi in those moments of fear or reactivity. Caylen never made me feel judged or discouraged. Instead, she took the time to understand Kiwi and explain the “why” behind everything we were doing, and gave me the confidence and tools to become a better handler. What impressed me most was how much she genuinely cares. It’s obvious that this isn’t just a job to her, I received video and message updates through the board & train showing kiwis progress and tip and tools for management. It is clear that Caylen loves the dogs she works with and is invested in helping both the dog and the owner succeed. She celebrated our progress, answered my endless questions with patience, and was always encouraging when things felt challenging. The transformation in Kiwi has been incredible. She’s more focused, more confident, and our walks and daily life together are so much more enjoyable. More importantly, I feel like I have a stronger relationship with my dog because I better understand how to communicate with her it’s in her tag line it really is “more than dog training”! If you’re on the fence about training, I can’t recommend Caylen enough. She is knowledgeable, kind, patient, and genuinely passionate about what she does. I’m so grateful for everything she’s done for Kiwi and for giving us a happier, more confident life together. ❤️🐾
