More Than Dog Training

We had an incredible experience working with Caylen. After adopting a 5-year-old terrier mix who was very reactive toward other dogs — and at times even children — we reached out to Caylen for help. Through private training sessions over just six weeks, we’ve seen a complete transformation in our dog’s behavior. Caylen takes such a personal approach, keeping my dog in her own home to get to know him throughout training. She communicated with me at every step of the way so I knew what to expect and what was possible for my difficult pup. Caylen is an amazing dog trainer! She is adaptable, helpful, gracious, generous, knowledgeable and so willing to do what it takes to help your dog and you! If you’re in the Austin area I would highly recommend! My wife and I adopted our dog Mia when she was 7 weeks (a bit early). We did in person group training sessions as well as the YouTube university on dog obedience training. Despite all of that we noticed Mia would perform everything amazing when we were inside our own house but as soon as we left the house it seemed almost as if we were not there. She would get extremely anxious and eventually became reactive to other dogs. We reached out to Caylen initially for privates at our home. Halfway through these Caylen realized she needed to spend many full days with Mia to figure out what was best for her. We pivoted to board and training where Caylen would send videos, texts and audio messages constantly informing us of anything and everything she was learning about our pup. It was so hard to not have our dog with us for 4 weeks but the constant communication was so helpful and encouraging. I know I recommended her earlier in this review however we would like to give a little more reassurance that she is the correct choice for you! Caylen was able to teach us all the tools we needed to know while hearing out our concerns when using them. She was able to explain the same thing twice but differently, my wife and I learn in different ways. Finally, it was so obvious Caylen truly cared for our dog and wanted to see her have a better life just like we wanted. If you haven’t reached out just do it already!

While we did a lot of research and obedience training when Mia was young, she still struggled immensely in outside environments. She would get extremely anxious and eventually became reactive to other dogs. We initially reached out to Caylen for private at-home lessons. Halfway through, Caylen realized Mia needed to spend many full days with her to figure out what was best for her. We pivoted to a board-and-train program, during which Caylen sent us regular updates and videos showing what she was learning about Mia and the techniques she was teaching her. When Mia came back home, she was truly a changed dog—great on the leash, great recall, and significantly less anxious and reactive. Caylen truly put in the work to help our dog, but she also taught us how to be better owners for Mia. She is a great teacher—adaptable, empathetic, knowledgeable, and willing to do whatever it takes to support both dogs and their humans.
