Nate Dog Training

Me and my Husband have a Golden-doodle puppy. Right when we got her we knew we wanted to get into a good training program. Nate’s program stood out to us and after the first phone call we knew he was going to do a great job! Schuyler was around 3-4 months when she started and after the first class you could see drastic improvement in her behavior. Me and my Husband have learned so much from Nate, every class had amazing information to take home and practice. When we did group training there was many other dogs with different behaviors and Nate knew how to handle all of it, he truly understands dog’s behavior. If you have a puppy or an older dog, Nate will do a wonderful Job.

We contacted Nate to help us with our very active miniature American Shepherds. We wanted to address leash pulling, coming when called, and barking at people and dogs walking past the yard. Now that we wrapped up our most recent session, taking Mika and Toby for a walk is a pleasure. They’re not perfect, but we know that if we reinforce what we’ve learned, it will continue to improve. Even better, they’re not reacting to passersby. They’re still interested, but not barking or getting aggressive with each other. Nate’s an outstanding teacher. He explains the why behind everything, and he’s very clear about the importance of reinforcing good habits. We know that there’s no magic bullet, and that our dogs’ behavior is ultimately on us. We had tried group training and an online course, and they just weren’t effective. Bottom line: We couldn’t be more pleased, and pups feel the same.
