Nate Dog Training

My 8 month old Aussie mix suddenly became fearful of shadows and cars. It was so bad, we could barely take her in the backyard to potty. After 1 session we could take her on walks in our neighborhood! I wouldn’t have believed it myself if I didn’t experience it first hand. Nate has also helped us with our leash reactive dogs. Our home and our walks are so much more enjoyable. We feel empowered as dog parents. I highly recommend Nate!

We had a wonderful experience with Nate. It was important to me that we focused on instilling confidence than more punitive obedience training we’ve had in the past. We learned so much about how to develop a more secure connection to our young German Shepard. We can now pass by others in close proximity on walks and our pup defers/trusts us and calmly walks by. We are also continuing to work on the training techniques we were taught for house guests and are having many gains and success there too. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to have chosen Nate.

Our one-year-old German Shepherd/ Pit Bull mix puppy was very reactive which made walking on a leash very overwhelming and stressful. She would bark and react to any dog or person who would walk by. We had worked with a previous dog trainer but failed to see any improvements. After meeting with Nate for only about 10 minutes, our puppy Hazel improved immediately. We learned how to provide structure for her on walks. Learning how to walk her had also improved her behavior at home. Before, we thought our puppy didn’t like other dogs. At our second session, Hazel was able to run and play with his well-trained dogs. Nate taught us that she was just a little insecure and needed socialization and structure. Nate provided us with many unique training opportunities. From private sessions in the home to group sessions in a pet store. We also brought Hazel in because of her fear of getting her nails trimmed. We had been turned away by countless groomers because it was impossible to just touch her paws. Nate worked with us and taught us to practice and help Hazel feel more comfortable with getting her nails trimmed. Now, we can file her nails ourselves with little problems. We cannot recommend Nate enough. We are so happy with the results of this training experience. Nate gave us the tools and knowledge on how to live a more positive life with Hazel. Thank you, Nate!

My 9 year old cattle dog mix had reactivity issues towards other dogs and people, pulled/got defensive on the leash, and overall she took control on walks. I was not able to take her to many places in public. My dog's behavior changed quickly during the first session with Nate. At first she was suspicious and reactive, but a few minutes into the training she was walking relaxed by my side. I was especially amazed because we were walking alongside Nate's dogs as well. By the 2nd session onwards, she was always happy to see Nate. She was clearly very comfortable with him and already thought of him as a good friend. Since then I continue to see huge progress on our walks. My dog is much more relaxed so she doesn't feel the need to get defensive or react to so many things. I know with consistent practice we will continue to improve. This training really helped me gain a lot of confidence and be able to enjoy taking my dog out. Thank you Nate!!
